How do I get the goddamned zip line to work? I fire it but dont know how the hell to ride it...

press E if the line has been attached to the big pole. if not, press G and re-fire somewhere else.

Took me a while,i hold e for both.
Also if you have your own don't ride down someone else's,chances are they will press G and watch you fall for that cheap laugh.

I guess it was the position I was in. Every time I pressed E I would get into the mounted RPK...
Right-click at something at a lower elevation than you to make sure it's in range. If it shows a "double ring", left-click to launch. If the launch is successful, press E to get on and ride down. When you're done, press G to get back the zipline unless a teammate's on it. Or leave it there and put a claymore by the end.
or, you can always click and pray it works. one interesting thing when using the zipline, is use it, wait for some idiot to get on it, then press G or out C4 on the end (Isue specops mostly, though I also use support. for a good tease, put tear gas o the end while wearing your gas mask.), wait for them to step away, and breath a sigh of relief that no-one pressed G, and then blow the C4, and put another pack down.

I fuckin hate it when I'm standing on a ledge, shoot a zipline, and the goddamn pole knocks me off. And I'm to close to the building to open my chute. Splat.
