microphone problems!!!!

Everytime I get onto a server with VOIP my mike doesn't work... I use my mike for ventrilo and everything else, but it just won't work for BF2. Here is some infomation:

-I play on servers that support VOIP
-Sometimes it starts to work when I get onto a server, then fails after a few minutes.
-My mike is a Telex M-560 (If that makes a difference).
-It is a USB mike. (I wonder if I need a mike that uses a microphone jack instead of USB port)

If I forgot anything important please tell me. Thanks for reading my post.

I don't think bf2-VoIP supports USB-mics

Mike, lol...

No, its not only your mic, I've the same problem, just as you described it. Do you use a soundcard or onboard sound as I do? Maybe that's the problem, I don't really know.

well i found it is better to go through the sound card and not the onboard. i had a usb it was fine but...it crakled. so a bought a new one that had the jacks and it was marvoluoss

The best known method to fix this is currently to go to Start -> Run, type dxdiag, go to the Audio tab and then move the Acceleration slider down to Basic.

This has been annoying me since I bought the game. Thanks for the tip badhq, it fixed my voip. I'd +1 you, but it won't let me....

Funny how no one at EA or Dice can give simple solutions like this.....

It's not the comp.---its your mic. the mic. is broken.

I think it's your soundcard, you probably use it onboard and that doesn't work for me neither. No need to buy a new mic, buy a soundcard if you have money or try badhq's solution.

You might also try to alt tab out of the game and uncheck the mic mute button (sometimes bf2 mutes it himself)... Strange!
