Karkand is so.. dire. How can the Hotel compare to Warlord's palace?!

Hotel: accessible to armor. (=rapage), easily artied
palace: bigger, more sneak tactics (grappling hook), inaccessible to armor and arty

I think that Sharqi Peninsula is the best map in BF2. All kits can pwn in that map. Snipers got the rooftops and the crane. Lots of Armor and vehicles for Anti-Tank. Lots of corpses for Medic. Lots of enemies for Assault and Support and Spec-Ops. Close quarters for Engineer.  Also the battle for the T.V Station is awsome for points and kills.

I love Sharqi for the terrain. The buildings are relatively tight and there are multiple levels of hill height to it making direction of attack quite random, whereas Karkand is just flat outside the suburbs and it's too simplex. If you replaced the Hotel on Sharqi with the Warlord Mansion, then that map would be a wet dream.

Kubra, Gulf and Daqing

Zatar used to be my favourite actually. Back when AA didn't insta pwn choppers. I still like it, just not too many places that play it...
