Ok, so i've been looking around at random people's stats, and i've noticed that 99.9% of people have a WAY higher Support Kit Time/Support point ratio than i do

so i was just curious as to how you guys get all your points?  I could probably have at least 300 or so more points than i do now if i was half as compotent with those ammo bags as other people

Edit: oh, i didn't put this in "help!" b/c i figured it could be more of a discussion than helping me out

I think its mostly alot of those people play Kharkand and just spam ammo bags everywhere, on crowded maps like that its pretty easy to rack up support points.

Screw accuracy, just toss rounds downrange.   I do this all the time, its called suppressing fire, which a lot of people don't do because it kills your precious stats.

Go to the BF:SF map "Iron Gator".
Spawn on the flight deck as a "Navy Seal" and start throwing them around. And all the AA-Soldiers will be happy and you will get massively points. I even got "gold!" once just doing this

Hell yeah.  Iron Gator is a playgorund for support points.  I usually go down to the boat ramp at the back of the carrier.

spam ammo bags everywhere.

the top of the tv station in shaqi is great for your snipers.
anywhere and everywhere on karkand
follow a spec ops guy around.  he needs ammo after blowing up 2 of the commander's assets.
if your a good and brave pilot.  fly along side your teammate's jet when he needs ammo.  done right you can keep a longer suppression up on an enemy airfield.

In Karkand there's anti-tanks, spec-ops, and snipers galore...if u see an anti-tank or sniper, ur pretty much guaranteed a point if you throw them an ammo bag.  Also sitting in an armor or vehicle next to a crowd of people gives you support points too.  Just gotta always be where the action is.

Hey, those are some good ideas!

does anyone know how many Ammo Bags you can have out at one time?

Edit: i mean, if you stay alive the whole time your throwing them out

I mainly try to stay where the action is, and when theres a break in the fire, i spam ammo to the survivors.  ie join a decent squad and stick with them. youll get plenty.

I think you have 3 at a time...then 1 slowly regenerates after a certain amount of time.  Your ammo bags regenerate faster when you're in a vehicle with someone else.  If someone's driving you around in a car you can throw out ammo bags like every 2 seconds without having to wait a long time.

Throw em around, and during calm times when everyone is reloading, toss em and hold one out so they all get topped off to full ammo. Post 1.3, ammo points can be racked up very quickly that way.

This map is the key on a 64 player server.  I recorded 38 resupplies in one round just by throwing ammo bags near the hotel flag as an MEC.  Now that everyone is grenade whoring on that map it is very easy is to rack up resupply points.

Mostly just spam the bags in areas you know will have fire fights.  Around flags and choke points mostly.  Following classes who will quickly use up ammo is the other great way, especially if you get in their squad.  AT and Spec Ops can never have to much ammo and the G3 assault kit goes through ammo at an insane rate as well.  Bonus for the assault guy is that they can actually make use of their smoke grenades when they know they have a resupply on the way.

Once your team has taken the enemy main base, spawn back there and put an ammo bag at each of the strategic objectives so the Spec Ops boys can throw a full load on them.  While a strategic objective only takes 2 bags to destroy, you can actually put 4 on to put them -100%.  That way the enemy commander can't just drop a supply box and immediately have one up and running.  Or even worse for you, an enemy engineer can drive by each of them in a buggy and get them all working again.  Since the items are negative points, that doesn't work.

P.S.  As far as I know there isn't a limit on how many bags you can have out.  I'm certain there IS one, but I haven't found it yet.  Some always get used first or you're so far away from where you dropped the first ones you don't see them disappear.  As a practical matter, if you can throw a bag some place it's likely to be used, THROW THE BAG

P.P.S.  Oh yeah, only throw 2 of the 3 bags you can throw before having to 'reload' your ammo bag.  Then as the second one regenerates throw it.  This way you have one to throw or just pull out for the ammo giving aura in emergencies.  Nothing sucks more than being in a fire fight with your squad and them needing ammo because they didn't pick up your bags where you put them and now you don't have any on hand to give them.

I would disagree that you should spam them everywhere. personally, i would advise you to actually be a bit selective about where you throw them, because the action tends to chenge locations and its annoying to find that you want to throw a bag to a needy teammate but can't because you've already thrown your lot somewhere else, where no-one is standing anymore.

example: once when i didn't feel like shooting much i decided to soley support some guys instead - devote the whole round to just keeping them stocked up and covered. this was iron gator, where it is very easy to do. as has already been mentioned, the flight deck flag and around are perfect, especially at the beginning of the second round for that map because everyone spawns at once.

Bascially, there was another support guy there, and he was spamming his bags everywhere, but i was only dropping a bag directly at the AT and sniper troops as they reloaded. so given i was picking where to put my bags and when, I just got support point after support point, while the other guy's bags where just lying around because the AT guys kept moving to get a better shot at the incoming boats.

I got the gold in that round, with my personal record 58 resupply points IAR. I have screenies of this if you want to see them (not trying brag, it's just in case people don't believe me).

edit: woops, i lie, it was 52. close enough! I was at work and couldn't check. anyway, as i was asked to show them, here they are:
