we all were new to the game once, and we were all new to the ranking system too. not everybody hears about the bf2roe when they first pick up the game, so its inevitable that at least somebody padded when they first started playing. i padded for about half around myself until somebody in the server pointed me in the way of the roe and saved me.

I wasn't good enough to figure out how to pad. I probably should've learned the controls in single player mode. I just ran at helos, hopped in 'em, died, did it again, killing teammates, etc. Everybody hated me I had no idea the stats were even being tracked until abouot 2 months into it.

I padded about 1000 points. Shouldnt be admiting it but I had no idea it was illegal. Once I found that out I stoped.

Went on a K&P server just cause pistols and knives sounded like fun. Messed around a bit. Got kicked for killing a spawn camper with my 101.

I got my first 8 or 9 knife kills on a KP server, happy to get my basic badge that way. Didn't know it was against the rules at the time, and once I got the badge I got bored and left.
Since then, I've only been on one KP server, and got banned cause apparently the MG36 is "not a pistol". Bastards.

never padded but once i was used to pad. Kept getting knifed and revived by some people in some clan.
#$%^, I'm STILL not even sure what it is or how to do it, let alone that it is illegal. I know all about spawn camping and base raping (and the jacklegs that do it to boost their stats, especially in armor), but stat padding is still a little amorphous to me as a concept. Is this, for example, killing a buddy 20 times and reviving him to get points, that kind of thing?

To Get my Helo badge I hopped into a very unpopulated (like 16/64) wake server and hopped in a transport chopper. took it up and went to the far east side of the map and just hovered there until I got my badge. Then I took it up as fas as I could and hopped out and parachuted to my parachute ribbon. I believe that is considered padding??? That is the only thing I have done like that though. And I armor whore every once in a great while (if Im close to a promotion or something)

i believe it was knife-revive stuff for about 15 revives.

sure, any experienced player who says they've never padded before is lying, flat out. whether you knew it was against the ROE or not, whether you were the victim while 2 guys revived and killed your dumb ass, i think it's safe to assume that anyone over 50k points has been involved with stat padding at one time or another
