I was just following the instructions on the cd. It said to close all programs, then restart my computer and follow the onscreeen instructions. But there wasnt any and for the error that happend when I pressed f-11 when I was rebooting.Beer_Ranger wrote:

What was the button it said to press your pc has to have system settings it should say a button mine is f10 for my computer my sisters says TAB my moms says f2 i was just telling you it should say a button to press and hold after the first windows screen.48765 wrote:

Apologies for my crap spelling... but if explorer.exe (spelt right lol) isnt there then i would go the way of a repair install - Just stick in the OS CD as if you were going to install windows - dont choose the first option to repair, but go through the fresh install option - and you'll be prompted to press R to repair a previously installed version. Let it run, enter CD key etc, and it will reset windows to a factory standard with out later updates - and you should have all your documents and programs too!
Dont use that first R for the recovery console, hit enter to install and then choose the Repair option!When I rebooted it said press r for recovery
