basically no matter what brand if it states 'PC3200 or DDR400' (most common type of ddr 184 pin memory) it will be ok
different brands have different warranties, cooling, performance memory tends to have heatspreaders for example
also timings differ between brands and between models
for example crucial pc3200 512mb runs at CL3, whereas crucial ballistix pc3200 512mb runs at CL2
the difference the timings make in games is probably not noticeable, the main time that people go for lower timing memory is for benching or overclocking, or cause they have the extra cash
good brands are ocz, crucial, gskill, corsair, mushkin, kingston etc
