BF2 Graphics after 1.3

recently anfter i have not flown in a while that after the 1.3 patch as i am flying or try to look across the map for a certain distance i cannot see very far, the image just kinda cuts off and as i fly further, more is uncovered. i have been told that it is a 1.3 bug but i am also concerned i will have to buy a new graphics card (my current one is only 1 yr old) i am far from computer smart!. anyone else had this problem or know how to combat it?

p.s. i have some screen shots and i have my draw distance on full... any help would be awsome

Yeah its got to do with the viewing distance ... make sure it is set at 100%. However, my graphics card is crap and even with it set on 100% viewing distance it still gets that misting view, especially on Gulf of Omar.

Edit: Not sure if its 1.3 specific

It only happens to me on Gulf of Oman, wake and others are great but Oman just does that.

He said view distance is full. i think the map is supposed to be that way because karkand is made to be hard to see long distances being in a city with smog same in AF maps.

1.3 gave me soo much ingame lag i couldn't even fly straight and my game quality looks like crap. IM USING A 7800 GTX FOR GODS SAKE!

mm i dunno before the patch i could see a lot further than that and it did not just "cut" off straight away i more like faded like it should

I have only had this problem post 1.3 patch as well. I also have noticed that when flying and you go out of bounds, the game turns into a slide show till you wander back into the map's safe regions. This is post 1.3 as well. Sometimes you just die because it's so damned choppy you haven't the foggiest idea of how far you manuvered and can't adjust.

1.3 is by far the worse patch they have released.
