BF2S Forums what card runs bf2 the best.

i think your question is kind of an apple and oranges issue..

One is pretty much an SLI equivilant.. while the other is a stand along card.. not to mention the $200+ difference in price range.

Yes yes.. someone is gonna yell that its a single card, not SLI... but it is basically two cards wired together to go through 1 pci-e slot... so blerg


I think your money is better spent getting the  7900gtx 512mb or the ati x1900xt... or depending on what you have now, wait and get the next gen cards.

I would definitely go with the 7950 over the 7900 gtx and ati cards. First of all, I've always had problems with ati cards and BF2. Just google search it. The game was made and tested on Nvidia cards anyway. Second, you should go with the 7950 because its basically SLI, but not the price of 2 7900s. Also, people have been having isolated problems with the 7900 while playing BF2. Many people have been experiencing texture anomalies and artifacts in the game. It is nothing that drivers can fix, some sort of hardware problem. This is probably why Nvidia released another 7000 series card. In the end, though, all of the cards are great and lots of people drool over having one.
