Yesterday evening I got the knife badge after MANY MANY tries I finally got it !
After my play it didn't showed up in BFHQ, so I told myself to wait a little bit as this happens often. But this morning it's not in BF2S ! Will it show up ? Or was there a problem when I got it ?
WHAT A SUSPENCE !

When I think about all the sweat I left to get this badge ! Placing some knife kills is quite hard as the rounds are ofter too shorts and the game isn't always close combat...

ive had this a couple of times more than once on the same badges it sucks but chances are if its not on within 12 hours it aint gonna be ;/ but if its in your bfhq it will show up

its happened to me many times (ex. i killed 11 people in a round witha a pistol an d didnt get jack) i blame it on the new patch

What is in your experience the maximum delay between the award in the game and it's appearance in BFHQ ?
If tonight I don't have it I'll really pissed of as I worked like a mad on Karkand to get it !
Trying to obtain this badge isn't a good thing for the K/D ratio !

did you finish that round ? at what point during the round did you get it ? was it close to the end ?

Thing is, I've heard people say that EA doesn't check on awards 100% "live" during a round ( too much server traffic ).

btw, the longest delay I have witnessed ws about 15 hours. but even 24 hrs wouldn't be that surprising, I guess.

Negative. Your points / awards are recorded even if you leave a round. Try this, go play for a bit, get 20 points and then leave the server and come back. When you join you'll have the same amount of points. The server keeps persistant player data and reports it all back at the end of round.

As for the OP, suck. I would say that most awards should show up within hours now. Most of the delay issues on the awards servers have been fixed now.

OK, when I said 'leave a round' I meant, 'got disconnected during a round'. It may have been pure coincidence, but I have had two awards then never showed and it was both times I'd been disconnected just after getting them. Maybe I was just incredibly unlucky, but it happened.

I guess it's just that really: sometimes you get unlucky.

So, as I understand it, you must be in the round at the end. The servers don't sent stats until after the round ends, so I even go a bit further and wait until I'm in the next round/map before I disconnect, just to be sure.

Just the other day I lost my Basic Pistol...it even showed up in BFHQ and then disappeared. :-( Now I've got 45 kills, no basic, and so I'm gunning for it this weekend...and vet, for that matter as I'll have the quals for it...one round get basic, next get vet.

No, no, the stats do update during the round. I think I was just unlucky in that for whatever reason mine didn't, and because I wasn't there to the round end I naively made an association.

its easy to get the badge, i sat in a bunch of people knifing em, the kept reviving each other cuz they didnt see me in the middle of em, i killed em like 10 times before they realised they where getting gutted lol, and all sprayed the medic guns, and lol one of em killed a team mate, what a bloody fool

As I didn't got my badge yesterday evening, I made another round on karkand to get it. I knifed 6 people and still no badge, but this time I didn't even get the drum with the badge award message (wich I got the previous time).

DO I have to knife 5 or 7 people on a round to get that badge ? The first time I knifed 5 players and got it, this time 6 and nothing. This is becoming REALLY boring as it's QUITE HARD TO KNIFE PEOPLE !

What for ? It won't add it to BFHQ, I already got in touch with the EA support team and they told me that they won't do anything about this kind of problems :'(

PLease tell me, do I have to knife 5 OR 7 Players for that ribbon ?
