I love that battle! Did you kill his bird? lol, I did and when it shows him dying the bird is a ghost bird, weird lol. Also, if you save during the battle, then come back a week or two later, it shows a scene of The End dying of old age. At first I was like "WTF" then I read something about it lmao.

I'd like to see a Wolfenstein style map where you can actually go inside the buildings and fight building to building as well as in the streets like Karkand.

Put in Superior's Khabarovsk Valley, a smaller (Karkand west bank size) urban sniping map, another large map but with more buildings, and a medium-sized one with a mix of urban CQC and long-range shots.

Oh and have 7 kits:

Designated Marksman 1: Knife, Suppressed 92FS, SVD, laser painter
Designated Marksman 2: Knife, Suppressed 92FS, Type 88, laser painter
Sniper 1: Knife, Suppressed 92FS, M24
Sniper 2: Knife, Suppressed 92FS, L96A1
Heavy sniper 1: Knife, 92FS, M95
Heavy sniper 2: Knife, 92FS, M82A1
Support: Knife, 92FS, ammo bag, laser painter

Well, they're not really "comparable". Mine is all-out sniping with no other weapons, but yours is far more balanced and gives people more of a chance in CQC.

This is looking good! But about that DPV/RIB mounted gun thing; There would be no point to getting in the gunners seat and trying to shoot, because you would probably be pretty conspicuous in that boat/car, and you'd have at least 3 sniper scopes trained on you - as soon as you stopped long enough to get in the gun and try to shoot someone, you'd be dead. You should keep the DPV, FAV, and RIB for the sole purpose of providing car-pooling - ATVs and jetskis only allow one person. The RIB and FAV mounted guns don't have the kind of range or protection to be of any use.

i'm working on the Khabarovsk Valley.. although the bf2 editor has fuck all in the way of a manual.. and is completely different to valve's Hammer editor for counter strike source.. *i helped create de_ignorance for those who have played it*

i'm not sure how big it'll be.. i'm hoping quite big.. i really dont want to make something too far from superior's plan so i'll be needing to work with him a lot on this one.. add me to xfire or something k?

and as for the RIB and transports.. snipers work alone.. we'll see what works better in the playtests..

but thats a long time off yet..

I designed a new sniper map: Navajo Landing. It takes place in Arizon, USA, next to a canyon.

It would have dust storms like in Karkand, because there isn't much cover. except for the few cacti and bushes.

Well, I think it would be cool to play off the AF idea on the big trucks. It would be cool to have a map in an industrial park. Buildings with docks for the trucks. empty trailers in various doors and mounted guns in the trucks.
It would be the battle of UPS v. DHL or something like it!!! I'll do a pre map idea as others have here.
The ind parks are big and would have good snipe-ability! This way we could bring back the SF hi-lo's!!! or fork truck, or forklift or tow motors... many names for the same thing! They should also be upgraded somehow.

sweet, I can't believe that you're actualy making it. Make the sky the sky of wake island. Use the pine trees that are on Midnight sun. The huts should just be like chinese ones or something. For the kits see my post in the other thread which is linked to in the first post.

See Armed Assault which is a sort of sequel. (not released yet though)

As to stuff to add, laser target designator for spec ops and binoculars too.

i was actually thinking making it more of a cloudy map (possibly with rain if i ca get the thing working right).. the same kind of sky as Daqing Oilfields.. my reasoning:

snipers are less easy to spot in darker conditions..
ever tried sniping on midnight sun? you'll know what i mean..

see this is why i didnt wanna make it lol.. my ideas are COMPLETELY different to yours lol..


with the amount of cover you're going to have, it'll make for some pretty good sniper fights.

now.. to try and find a mapping tutorial..

god damn textures >.<
