Hi,

I'm new here but I need help. Everytime I join a server of a map that you can play in single player (Which excludes Mashtuur, Wake, and any booster map) it says only players with unmodified content can join, and to restore to the latest official version. Well my problem is, I deleted all my mods to the furthest extent of my knowledge, and I still get that message. How to I revert to the latest official version? I have 1.3

Well, since your new, it probably won't matter that you posted in the wrong spot. However, to fix your problem, reinstall the patch and if that doesnt work, reinstall the whole game.

My friend had the same problem. You need to uninstall the game, then reinstall it, and download the FULL 1.3 patch, DON'T DO THE INCREMENTALS!!

Anways, the full 1.3 fixed his problem.

I never used the incremental...

And how is "Help" the wrong spot to post this?

annnd last but not least, uninstalling/reinstalling won't affect my account or the fact that I downloaded Armored Fury, will it? I really don't wanna lose my account. I just got Sergeant and it took me a while...

no uninstlalign wont muck that up u just have to remmebr your user anme and password and then re instlal armoured fury from ea downloader once bf2 is reinstalled

No when uninstalling just don't tick the box which deletes your profiles

Problem - Modified Content Error
Cause - Your Battlefield 2 Files differ in some way than the servers
Fix - Few things to try and get this Fixed.
1. Move your Battlefield 2 folder from My Documents to your Desktop

2. Make sure you have the latest battlefield 2 patch installed

3. Try and update PunkBuster, to do so use the program, pbsetup, found at this website http://www.evenbalance.com/index.php?page=pbsetup.php

4. Try re-downloading the latest patch from a different website and install it again, maybe several times tyring each time to see if it has worked.

5. Do a manual uninstall of battlefield 2, instructions on how to do this can be found here http://support.ea.com/cgi-bin/ea.cfg/ph … d=8986Then reinstall Battlefield 2 and apply the latest Full Patch.

6. You could have faulty RAM, try running a program called Memtest86 to test your ram for errors. Also try removing a stick of RAM from the machine to see if it helps running on just 1 stick of RAM.

Sorry to revive a really old topic, but I'm having the same problem. Strange thing is though, I only get it on the BF2s EU server, I've tried getting on others and have no problems. I was playing on the server, when it crashed. I rejoined and then I had the problem. Strange. Anyway, I'll try your suggestions, I just hope I don't have to do a reinstall.

EDIT: Nevermind, it appears (with the exception of the BF2s US server) that I can't get on other servers either.
