Can I just ask how you know for a fact that 2142 is going to be crap. I admit that some of the details I've heard sound quite crap, but I was dubious about the night maps on SF and now it turns out that they're great. I also think some of the concepts sound great (titan mode anyone?)Cohammer wrote:

I suggest waiting until it's released before making any judgement. There's going to be plenty of people buying it no matter how many people boycott it, so I'm sure you'll be able to find plenty of opinions from both people who love it and people who hate it. Hopefully, you'll be able to pick out the real details from the opinions.

I actually like BF2, The graphics are great, and the glitches are not that bad, The red tag glitch is bad but learn to look at the guy's uniform. I have never had a rocket go through a tank, and i find the legs sticking through the wall kind funny. People are complaining they nerfed the airplanes, BF2 is meant to be a ground battle type game. Not a total air domination. The black hawk was overpowered but they may have nerfed it too much. Why they don't give the other Helli's a better weapon? Maybe the Chinese and MEC don't have that kind of weapons. Learn to adapt, and have fun.Wraith wrote:

Well I think that EA is not playing on ''this is a bitch ass graphics and future crap robots'' card, but they are more depending on a whole new system of rewarding and unlocking stuff or just simply upgrading weapons - kinnda' like WOW if you know what I mean but much more simplified.
You have to understand that players that are lower ranking in BF2 will simply give up the game and switch to BF2142 just because they will get ranks sooner that they did in BF2 at least before the patches came out. The whole concept in collecting and summing up the points throught the game in BF2 is a fantastic idea and they will just polish the whole system in BF2142 and make it more attractive to the end user.
I personally don't like future crap but I will give it a try and see what's what and than decide. You can't really judge something just by seeing the pictures and some videos - first try and play and than give opinion.
I really hope that they will fix some of the loading and veryfing crap and major lag's that are happening on maps like Warlord (palace is really laggy) and the stuff won't appear in the BF2142

i choose nr. 1... EA should make BF2 alot better... i love BF2, but i want more... better explosions, airstrikes instead of arty on certain maps, make the map packs availeble to ranked servers and maybe a parachute drop point the commander could set, 50 metres into enemy territory... i just think that there are to few options in BF2... i like being commander, but i think that the commander should have a bigger strategic importance on the battlefield...
great poll... I hope EA dudes see it...
