I got it just for the weapons, but it's not all that great because the maps are really small and their is bullshit like a 4 wheeler blows up from a 10 foot drop.

- Is SF WORTH IT?
definitely, would have given new life to some old maps. grapple would be great on Kark, zip would be a nice way to get around Songhua... I think I might use citizen one's tutorial to map some customs of old maps with sf stuff, now that I think about it... might be funDarth_Fleder wrote:
SF is worth it. Grappling hook, zip-line FTW! Too bad they don't incorporate these into vanilla...it would spice it up a bit.
i find this 2 be a yes and no answer, yes cool new maps, weapons and rides, and no laggy REAL LAGGY and now with 1.3 its not even letting me load up any levels....hope that helped you out.
o btw, choppers wont fly well, least not on my computer and i am running over suggested specifications.so ultimately NO!!!!! peace
Yes! I think it's better than vanilla. No jets. it's fast paced. new gadgets like gas and zip lines. the only negative is that there are, for some reason, less servers. YES! get it.
SF is the most underrated thing in BF2!!
The maps are really great, everybody gets the oh-so-beloved infantry combat without getting jet raped all the time and you actually gotta work on both sides to win(except on Iron Gator, but there it all depends on the team and the number of players on the server.).
It's a shame, you can't find a proper European SF server anymore, the few that are left(TV2 or Freddyshouse for example) are mostly empty. But if you check the normal BF2 browser you get tons of 24/7 Karkand servers....

Okay, I've installed SF, do I need to download any patches or anything?
yes 1.3 but fisrt runn installer of EF then 1.3 and THEN AF!!!
SF definatly worth the $$
How do you get the unlocks after installing?
Log-in and play 1 second
there are no third tier unlocks in SF. some of the third tier unlocks appear as regular weapons, but some, such as the awesome L96, don't appear at all. very very bad decision imo, the shortfall of an otherwise great expansion. well, that and not being able to choose 'RPG' for all armies... the RPG is freakin awesome
u mean play 1 complete round to get unlocksProdie wrote:

Signed! I spent more time on SF than on BF2 (see stats) since it is much more intensive. Warlord is the better Karkand!MrBrain wrote:
Yeah, that it soo aaaaawesome! No retard planes. Took a while before I figured out why the SF felt so fun when I started playing it, then it strook me that I haven't been jet-raped for a couple of days. Sooo awesome. There are helis to take out naughty tanks with and a couple of AA to frie the helis with, most maps have a great balance.REDRAGON12345 wrote:
If you do not want jets to keep blowing and spawn killing you get SF LOL
Yes it is worth the money if there is some good servers.
Hell Yes!
But I must agree that all Theatres are great to play, just different kind of style.
Good Luck and we'll meet in SF.

The lack of skill in infantry combat really rears its head in the palace on warlord. everyone spams grenades or claymore whores. it's one massive kill fest for me wich is why i love it so much
Definitely!
I got it mainly for for the new guns but after a few rounds i'm hooked. There is a striking difference in the type of player, FAR less idiots, much better team cohesion, and despite the 'posh' accent, the SAS are in it and sound pretty cool.
An example, last night i was on Warlord and my own team mate killed me as i crouched near a flag in a bush, i thought it was a little stupid as i was only 2 feet from him (i guess he freaked out) so i punished him, but then, amazingly, he not only apologised but then revived me!! And then followed me into the crowd, covering me as i ran through!
I do find the tear gas a real pain in the arse though!
