Old news... but hell maybe somebody missed it in the previous threads.

It seems odd that they would release a new map so soon after the release of the boosters... of perhaps the new map will be release in a few months.... As sort of a farewell bonus from EA, since they pushed 2142 forward to october 19th.

If we are lucky its just one single patch from EA and after that the game will be cut loose from support... just like they did with Battlefield Vietnam when BF2 came out. An probably with BF1942 when BF1942 came out...

I wonder if there are people still playing BFV of BF1942.

the thing that needs fixing is servers going down it is a big problem that players chose other games in desperation on Gamemonitor one can see the first server now is bihnet bf2 server that runs a old ver of game

Well worthplaying.com came with the news of 2142 being pushed forward to october 19th.

After the release of 2142 support for BF2 will probably stop, regarding how de treated support in the past with the other BF games.

As i see it 2142 is just going to be a bump to fill the gap until BF3 lands so i don't think so many will play 2142
most part of players stick to BF2 until the real stuff lands.
