I play a few other games no problem. Last night i started getting problems with AF, it doesnt do it in regular BF2. maybe its the new patch i dont know?

the cards are in SLI. two 7800GTX's i do have beta 91XX drivers though so im gonna try the stock ones to see if it helps. i was playing for 2 weeks on these, until AF came out then these problems occur

does anyone else get weird Artifacts? the card's arnt overclocked at all..no need too

Odd that it doesn't occur in BF2 and only in AF.

Anyway, I've heard that these cards are prone to overheating somewhat quickly.  How's your ventilation and cooling?  Any idea what temperature the cards are running at?

im running the cpu on a maze block.

the case temp is no more then 30 c at any given time. the top 7800 has a artic silencer on it, the bottom doesnt. NV temp logger shows the hightest temps ive gotten was 71c

which is well within spec for these cards..the bottom is a bit hotter by 2 degree's even at idle.

its not heat.

very strange...i may be wrong about it not doing it in vanilla. havent really played to much in the past few weeks. but at least for an hour at a time. and no probs in regular maps.

it happens just after 1 minute in AF...the cards arnt even fully warmed up.

im gonna go run 3dmark for an hour and see what happens

well i really dont know what the hell is causing this. it doesnt happen in 2D. only 3d apps.

it does it in other games now!!!

i put the ARtic silencer on last week or so. With Artic silver 5.. Then reseated the Cooler with artic Cermaque. which i was told was better because its non conductive. which is true. i did this about 3 days ago. i think i may have applied to much force when trying to remove the artic cooler the second time around...i mean it wasnt crazy force..but enough to maybe damage a circuit around the GPU. or i over tightned the bolts..its the only thing i can think off. The card is seated fine, power is going to it. the bridge is on good and clean connectors.

been chuggin along for 7 months these two cards without a hitch until now.

im gonna RMA the card to evga...THANK GOD THEY HAVE A AFTERMARKET COOLER ACCEPTANCE policy or i would be up shit creek
