your graphics card is no DX10, it can do the drivers to play the games, but will not be able to support the DX10 functionality/hardware.

Build a new computer, save up $1500 and you could get an awesome system for cheap.  Use newegg and build it though.

no dont build a new system. wait 8 months.

just throw another 512 in for now. the 6600 will run the game just fine at medium quality or maybe high. at ad ecent resolution.

WAIT. alot of great things are on the horizon..just wait. trust me

oh and pick up a audigy 2 for now, they are cheap and will help

socket Am2 really isnt taking off yet. And it may never. i think of it more as a middle man, for when Amd goes to DDR3 next year.

then all the dx10 cards will start flowing in soon after march 07. And rumour is pcie will move up to 32x standard on one slot. dual core will be the Maintstream completely, and quadcore will be enthusit by the end of next year

just wait a while, u wont regret it

my roomate plays bf2 ona  radeon 9800 pro 256meg card at 1280x1024 with 2x AA on and it runs just fine and that card is 3 years old

I just got comfortable with the fact I'll have to replace to DDR2 next year, and now you're saying there will be DD3?

lol... my God.. when will it end

yes, they do actually but don't look for them on Tigerdirect. Computer parts have many uses beyond consumer sales. You'd be surprised at the weird video cards that exist for industrial and commercial uses.

Ohhhh, if I buy a industrial video card or w/e will it be cheaper/better??? Or if I buy things from industrial suppliers?

No, they are typcially much more expensive but have little application for Windows-based machines. There are cards that costs thousands and run on other systems such as Alpha- and RISC-based technologies.

Scince I have no idea what the hell that is Im guessing it is probably not a good idea to buy industrial video cards. Sounds expensive and complicated.

No point in waiting, there's always something new round the corner, just buy (or build if you can be arsed) a new pc every year. Use your spare pc's for e-mail/messenger etc. or flog them to a gullible relative, or other such n00b, for an inflated price to subsidise your annual purchase.
