BF2S Forums Armored Fury Music

This is old now, heard it a while ago when people were musing to what the new loading tune would be. I didn't think it would be because honestly it didn't sound fitting to me at all.
Still, it's not bad.
HOWEVER!!
What needs to be done is a re-mastering of the original BF theme. These new ones are meerly basterdised hybrids, and although good, they could be SO MUCH BETTER! The 1942 theme was as near perfection as the battlefield series has achieved in the way of theme music. It fitted the area, era and the feeling of the game perfectly.
Like with this latest one, the horns are great, but they don't communicate the power of the original BF theme. It dosn't fit. When you think of a modern battle going on in mainland America, do you really think of 17th Century classical music? I should fucking hope not!
Honestly I can see where Agamemnar is going when he says it's kind of gay, but I reckon I'm slightly more accepting.
Nice, plesant, different, but far from being a masterpiece. EA and DICE need me to write music for them.

Anyone know where I can download a free version of Adobe Audition?

Here's how to get the loading/win/lose music from your Battlefield 2 folder.

1.  Go to X:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2
2.  Go into "Mods", then "bf2"
3.  Extract "Common Client" somewhere, I don't care.
4.  Open the extracted folder.
5.  Go into "Sound"
6.  Go to "Menu" and then "Music"  You'll see a lot of .ogg files.  That's the music right there.

Keep in mind, that the Load_US_Music was actually included in the original BF2 installation, even before you got Armored Fury.  EA and Dice just decided that they didn't want to compose a whole new song.

I gotta disagree here.  Some parts of it are good, but most of it sounds very thin.  I think the music was written for an orchestra but played by a smaller band.  A couple hundred people playing it would sound pretty damn good.  As it is, it's not that great.

I loved the music also and I sit there just enjoying every moment of it.

I'm fine with the regular music from BF2, but it definitley wouldn't kill them to include a radio like they did in Vietnam.  I want TUNES, dammit!
