Now I haven't got Armoured Fury yet but after reading a lot of the posts here it would seem that the A-10 has produced rather a lot of disappointment.

Nice video.
I know what you mean. But BF2 is just a game, not real life.
As a "planewhore" i'd also like to kick the shit out of tanks, but who wants to drive a tank when it's a sure thing he won't survive longer than 2minutes in it?
And if the A-10 would be that strong ingame, they would lower the damage to tanks given in the next patch because of complaining.

Dude,

There is no way it can be realistic. Not even because of the "its a video game" card. They can't put a jet that outperforms all of the others in the game because people would be crying about it. The easiest way to keep them even is to make them almost the same with slight differences.

It seems people will cry no matter what they do.

i dont know they did put the other 2 tank busters in there which have super sonic speeds and like said not as durable as the A-10. I think it would be a bit more balanced to have the slower moving plane with more armor and hit power and then the less armor quicker attack planes. Would still be balanced in that sense becuase the A-10 cant even go afterburner.

That sounds pretty good! Maybe somthing EA didn't consider?

Another thing though is that people are complaining about the cannon. I know it tears stuff up in real life, but it shouldn't in the game. When it comes to jets, ground forces (especially AA with that nice circle of death surrounding you) already have zero chance of survival when faced with a decent piolot.

Quality comments - Keep them coming, obviously it is a game therefore realism goes out the window, however I would have thought with EA introducing the A-10 Wart Hog 'Tank Buster' that it may live up to its name. To be honest I don't really know why I started this thread as people that know me know that I can't fly for toffee, I just thought that I would supply video evidence to back up what a lot of people are thinking by reading the posts.

If its NOTHING Like the Real Plane, Why the hell put it in the game? Anyways The Damn plane has been retired anyways WTF. Before i got hurt in the AF in Desert storm, That was the frigging Tank Muncher i use to arm before they went out and whiped the crap out of the armor. I mean Cmon, The cannon on the A-10 can and does take out a whole batallion of Armor on its own, so if you have to use the same amount of ammo as you do with the other planes, I call it a waste of programing.

Shit now im dissapointed, But will buy the frigging thing just to play the US maps.

meh, if it was a god among the bombers it'd cause more problems. right now there are 5+ people when a round starts waiting for it and TKing for it. if it becomes that much better that means more idiots TKing to get it and up their KDR. if you're smart it can be devistating, if you're an idiot you'll clip the light poles like half the pilots i see. same goes for the other bombers in AF.

Ok, you see how easily that A-10 Tore through the Tank in the vid...being a big time tank driver, that wouldnt thrill me a whole lot or give me a whole lot of motivation to drive one. The A-10 cant tear a tank in half, but on the tradeoff, it dosent overheat. You can pull that trigger as long as you want and youre fine. I think its fine, EA/Dice did well for once. This pack has caused the least amount of fuss...

Your right, The A-10 wasnt or still isnt a bomber. Nor a fighter. It was devistating against Helo,s and ground emplacements and armor, but a bomber it was not. I never in my time in Desert storm in 1992, ever put anything but hellfires and stingers on them. I also agree with the Tking, Its Just not good, I mean its only a slower version of whats in the game now, so i dont see the big deal.

Before anyone else posts about how it is nerfed they did it for a reason its because they want to keep the game even if it did shred through tanks and things how easy would it be to pwn in them I like it right now becuase not many of them are waiting and whoreing them except me lol.
