In reply to some peoples topics about this I thought I'd start this one going on form tehm instead of having a reply 15 pages back.
It is true about the Knife amnesty just like we had a firearms one last year. People can hand in these weapons without the fear of reppurcussions at police stations and special bins placed around the country.
Its also not that there have been a lot more knifings in the last few weeks its the fact one bad one happened so the other unrelated incidents have been publicised.
In the last few weeks there have been incidents around my school and our rival school in the area. (Ours is a grammar theirs is a comprehensive- that the only reason I can gather for this feud thats gone on for decades.) We have had a police presence at our school every night for a bout two weeks because they think after a massive riot that happened in the park (mostly between asians in the schools and outside--no racism intended) and since then people have been caught in school with hammers etc.
