does anyone know how much it costs to upgrade xp pro to x64 as msn offers a 120 day free trial but doesnt state how much it will cost after that.....i was wanting to try it as i have been told its better for gaming....please help cheers...
It *can* be better for gaming, if the application is 64 bit native. If you are running a standard 32 bit application you get slightly less than normal performance as you are emulating... and all commands require double the amount of ram (as a 64 bit processor takes info in chunks of 64, rather than 32). So try it if you want but wait like 8 months till vista comes out if you're going to spend the money on it.
