Yeah! Copper/blue leads the conference finals 2-0!
In other news... Vancouver Giants are going to the semis!
It's interesting to see Anaheim have a great game 4 win... but only twice in playoff history (correct me if i'm wrong here) has a team won from a 3-0 loss....
Best of luck anyhow.
Perhaps it's for the better of the Oilers, they've hadn't had more than a two day rest since who knows when. If they stop for longer perhaps they'll lose their pizazz. Or maybe a rest would do them good. Who knows?
I'm hoping Carolina will eliminate Buffalo, but the odds are very wobbly. Buffalo wiped the Sens out 4-0, and everyone, and I mean everyone, thought Ottawa would take that round. I'm scared that they'll take down the Oilers if they meet for the Cup.
btw, updated accordingly.

ooh game 1 in 18 hours!
i have a feeling that the final outcome will be 4-2 in favor of Oilers. I'm not leaning towards them or anything, but the way they've zipped through the playoffs and the way Carolina has 'struggled' to get through shows something. Then there's the flu and the null-rest. But then again, maybe the break the Oilers got may have broken their streak, who knows?

Canucks All The Way!!!!!!!
I don't care about NHL, I only care from our own Finnish championships and our own team where I have played for 4 years.
Wow. I must say, this year's playoffs have been the most twisted of all. Unexpected turns everywhere. Buffalo beating Ottawa? Edmonton beating San Jose? Anaheim beating Calgary? Not to mention the surprises in each of the games.
And Roloson's value to the Oilers shows how much a good goalie can affect his team. Same with Hasek and Ottawa. Ottawa zips up to the top quickly during the season with Hasek at the goal. Roloson's performance has been great as well. The moment Ottawa puts Hasek aside, bam they're hit with lots of losses. Roloson gets injured Game 1, and what most people thought would be a sure-Oiler win turned to Carolina's favor.
It's good to see that Edmonton took down the 'Canes in the third game. The series is still in Carolina's favor though, as their win was a hard win, and not like the way Carolina totally whooped Markkanen in the first two games. The Oilers worked for their win here. It'd be interesting to see who wins the next game. Right now I think if Carolina gets the next game, then the cup is theirs. But if Edmonton wins, bringing the score to a tie, I'm pretty sure it'll head on to Game 7. And there, who knows? An injury for either team on almost any player (specifically Captain Canada, Brind'Amour, Hemsky or Ward) could spell disaster.

Markannen is actually expected to come back some time in the Stanley Cup Finals. I mainly want Carolina to win it though mainly because they never won the Stanley Cup before, and because I'm in the east.
Well Carolina's up 3-1... next game will be home for them.
They'll get it, but not without working hard, that's for sure.

Wow. Talk about another turn in the playoffs. 26 times out of 27 have a team won from a 3-1 finals lead. And here I am, 7 minutes to go in period 3, with Edmonton leading 3-0. Looks like this will go onto game 7... and you can't tell me anyone was expecting that. It's almost as if Carolina was letting them win this so they could go to game 7. I mean, three shots on goal? They're barely playing. And so many power plays. Good job to Cam Ward though, he's doing a great job (except those three hehe). It's gonna be a rough crowd in Raleigh for game 7. If anything, that's gonna be the table-turner. The crowd is definately a major factor right now, in game 6.
