Hmm yesss I have this problem. I'm buying new GPU but I can't dedice. Like that radeon is cheaper but is it worse than that GF? That GF is 28 € more expensive...
Let's hear what you think.

no... the overclocking is NOT good... i have one myself, it will run 570mhz core for a week, then starting to lock up, now i have to run it at 530 mhz core. i heard its either the card has a premature shut down or its voltage regulators are overheatingJanus67 wrote:
I voted for the 7900gt. It is still the best bang for the buck card out there and it has excellent performance, and overclocks fairly well too.

It's euro!=TH=[Eleanor]-NL- wrote:
Does a 7900GT with 512 MB cost only 296 bucks? Man over here they cost like 330 bucks and than you only get the 256 mb version.
Hmm yes but before you can use dx10 you have to get Windows Vista, and it's not coming before one year, and I think it's not ready even then when 1 year has passed, and I think many games still give support to dx9 and I want new GPU because the one I now have is GF 6600, so I have to keep everything at low when I play BF. And you can always sell your old card when those dx10 cards come.=TH=[Eleanor]-NL- wrote:
Well they cost let's say 310-320 euro's so I figured if I type it in dollars those Americans understand what I'm talking about...
Anyway I won't be buying a new GPU, my guess is it's a good idea to wait untill the DirectX10 carts will be out, that won't take long will it? Since that new FarCry game, damn what's it's name again? Anyway, that's a directx10 game so I figured there will also come dx10 cards sometime...
If it has problems, then I maybe going for the ATI one, because I can't really wait for better graphics because watching low graphics is lame. What problems 7900 is having? Is x1800xt much worse than 7900 gt?ghettoperson wrote:
If your going to get a 7900, wait about 3 weeks, as nVidia are supposed to be bringing out a revised version which should hopefully have all the problems fixed that the current 7900 seems to have. I don't know whether your shop will stock them straight away though, or how you'll know that you have a revised one.
the 1800 xt 512 is a great card. i love mine. though nvidias do out perform ati in this game all around the 2 are about the same. i run all max settings @ 1280 x 1024 with an avg of 90 fps, so the 7900gt may do better but i would never notice itHacial wrote:

If by this game you mean BF2, I'm not sure what you are talking about. The X1800XT is faster than the 7900GT in BF2.jaymz9350 wrote:

Like Agent_Dung_Bomb said, x1800xt is as good as 7900 GTX. (In 1280x1024) The difference between them is small so let's say they are even.-r3-anubis wrote:

i stand corrected.Agent_Dung_Bomb wrote:

Now I bought HIS X1800XT 512 Mb from HSLW and with all those shipping payments and stuff, it's total price was 309.14 € tax included! Thank you all who helped me making choice, and finally I went for Radeon because there is some problems with 7900 GT and Radeon is better in BF2.
What's the deal with the 7300GT? I saw it the other day on newegg (evga has three 7300GT cards). Is it kinda new?[RTC]invaderzim69 wrote:

coz they might not need a true gfx card since they dont game much... hell i used to have a X300 w/ a p4 3.0ghz made by dell, it can run half-life 2 all high, 1280X1024 no AA or AF smoothlyacdc wrote:

Why would someone purchase a 7300GT and not just spend the extra money for the 7600GT?
