It is entirely possible that I'm going crazy......but after the last few days of playing with 1.3.....it seems like the Dragon Valley map has a lot more fog.  I feel like things are much harder to see now on that map.......ESPECIALLY if you are trying to TV missile.  The crosshairs just seems to disappear in the fog now.  It was always a foggy map to begin with.....but man.....I didn't think it was like this.

Anyone else notice this?  If not....or if you haven't played the map since 1.3......go jump in a server playing Dragon Valley...........and see if it seems a lot more foggy.

Perhaps it's one of EA/Dice's many amazing "fixes" that was apparently more important than things like....oh.....I dunno.......Red/Blue bugs and f*cked up server browsers.  Or...of course......the also very likely possibility that I'm off my rocker (though I have played Dragon Valley quite a bit).

Conspiracy.. ..it has to be..

-Could it be that EA/Dice have tried everything, but cannot get the bugs that bother us the most fixed?
-Could it be that they on purpose add more bugs, that they know they can fix -> an illusion of a better running game
-Could it be that there is no such thing as a flawlessly running game since Pong?
-Could it be that the game will never be compatible with the only OS that it's programmed to be compatible with?

Sorry, quick vent..

Yes the fog irritates yours truly also.. If what you say is true, it ruins my motivation to jump in a chopper there. But hey! There are other things to do as well! Those poor chopper pilots now have no chance against the Linebacker/Tunguska you're going to jump in now, have they?

There are no linebackers on Dragon Valley............

I dont think ive found an increase in fog, but in all my times of playing that map, I find the sky pisses me off so much because of the total whiteness, the HUD of a chopper or jet now dissapears when I look into the sky!

Yes.. The "fog" is when you go high w. the chopper and the gunner can't see sh*t through the TV.. Not actual fog on the ground, but higher up.. It's there..

I will definitely admit that the fog is vastly worse the higher you go.........however, in an attack helo on that map........altitude is often key, as that map is rife with AA.  And due to the terrain....it makes it very difficult to make a low altitude approach on AA sites without being spotted first.  So, I try to stay high to spot enemy attack helos, transports helos, and when someone spots some armor causing them grief, I'm right on my way to help out.

However, it seems now that getting high makes TV missiling near impossible lest you find a ground vehicle to attack, and therefore have the contrast of the terrain to make your crosshairs visible as opposed to the gray fog of the atmosphere to make your crosshairs go bye-bye.

I think what further fuels my belief that the fog has been increased is that before the 1.3 patch, I was solo piloting / TV missiling in a Z10.  I TV missiled nearly every target I aimed for without issue.  I ended the round with my highest score ever of 208.  Never once had the feeling that I couldn't properly aim the TV missiles due to the crosshairs disappearing in the fog.

Oh well.....adjust, adapt, overcome.  I've done it in the past......I'll do it again.

Yeh, the sky is damn annoying.

I was playing on it yesterday, and in the Type 95 AA, i couldnt see where i was gonna hit.

Come to think of it, in Patch 1.2, i thought it wasnt as white.
