a not insignificant chunk of trump support comes from well off business owners and landowners and educated professionals.

the sentiment from poors and blue collars is probably more "he says (what he thinks/what we're all thinking)" and "i'm not voting (for a democrat/woman)" and such than "the country needs a successful businessman in charge," and the more fiscally padded and/or 'self-made' understand that he's a shit businessman even if just in the backs of their minds, but they're convinced he's the one who's going to somehow put more money into their pockets (doctors!!!). even while he's not. i imagine people who post 'betrayal!' on xitter at some mess of an executive order or tariff still have his flags flying proudly.

also, the multi-dealership owner guy likes that "he says what we're all thinking."

So Biden's voters just didn't turn out for Holocaust Harris.

Also by income seems like an even split.

judging the way some of my talks have gone, i'd give the numbers on self-report a big margin for deception.

i remember the opinion on that puffin bandied about on talk radio.

individually, it can be a financially sound decision to pass on it. socially? there is no good reason for the state of things being such that people can't afford to have children. the most basic human things to do are becoming luxuries that need budgeted for. food, shelter, reproduction. what recourse is there? it's not like you can just go homestead wherever you want in the wilderness without rangers knocking on your door. human life is enshittifying, and the human animal shouldn't have to live like this. if someone gives me the gen z stare, i'll understand. things be like that.

from time to time, i still think about that zillow shack i saw up in the alaskan mud with no utilities. like $700k for an acre, all to live where you have to fuck with the moose and polar bears. why.

As a Massachusetts jury deliberated in the Lindsay Clancy trial, prosecutors in Illinois say a mother described by witnesses as recently being "very invested" in the case allegedly murdered her 2-year-old son and tried to take her own life, according to a petition to deny pre-trial release obtained by ABC Chicago station WLS.

According to a court document, Corie Walsh was "actively discussing" the Clancy case on text messages up to three-and-a-half hours before the child was discovered.
