Glad to see the back of Starmer.
Not sure how much of his ousting was his pro-Zionism, I'd like to think about half.

genuinely quite hard to understand how someone who won a 'landslide' election victory can be ignominiously booted out within 2 years.

well, not so hard to understand when you consider the machinations of his inner circle and the type of advisors he had around him (viz. blairite centrist slugs and peter mandelson hangers-on).

appointing reeves as chancellor was his first big mistake. they achieved none of their soft-left progressive reforms to the economy and mostly seemed to only get through policy to do with illiberal measures banning protest, doing away with jury trials, and requiring digital ID for adults to access reddit (even imgur is banned in the UK now, which is truly bizarre).

also gave away the chagos islands because he is so thoroughly brainwashed by his human rights lawyer milieu. something that was in no ways in the national interest but granted him kudos amongst a certain charmed class of QCs/KCs and star barrister types.

On the one hand the last however many PMs have been cursed by a dying economy, Make England Great Again is a great slogan but not a realistic option.

On the other the only thing which has enlivened this tubby slug has been supporting genocide and crushing dissent against it.

People aren't stupid either, they can see that when two jews getting stabbed warrants a Cobra meeting and GBP25m in security funding, but five muslims being attacked with an axe doesn't merit a tweet there's an imbalance.

I had no confidence in him from day one, obviously another Blairish grifter with a Pro-Israel agenda.

Burnham seems to have no defined policies, I see no hope there.
Apparently he's already complaining that he needs Starmer to stay in place for three months so he can 'develop a plan', exactly what Starmer has supposedly been doing for the last two years with no output.
Glad I'm not paying tax into this disaster.

i would really like to stop paying UK tax (via treaty) and leave the UK altogether, but alas. maybe one day.

I don't think the UK is going to be negotiating a treaty with you.

animals in government are uniquely situated to basically do nothing but lick their own asses and get pictures taken. larry has done nothing but be a cat, and more people started adopting. a great result unless you're a mouse.

side comment, emojis have gone too far. why do we need modern hieroglyphics to tell us we've just read about a government cat. do we really need a cat ears emoji for every emotion. i don't respect it.

i don't like larry the cat because it's mostly a front for twee centrist 'keep calm and carry on' bollocks. i don't really think the executive office needs a pet or a mascot to make it more 'accessible'. just make the trains more affordable and society less shit, please.

we can dislike larry the meme.

but like presidential pets, the cat literally did nothing but be an animal. even bill murray was cool with punxsutawney phil in that one movie.

mosquitos do nothing except be themselves and live out their little insect telos, too. and i don't feel obliged to like nor respect them.

This is why they don't respect you.

i'm cool with mosquitos existing, too. part of the food chain and all that. how much have humans fucked the ecosystem with insecticides alone?

i just don't want mosquitos in my living space. you can at least train cats off of counters and keep them out of your room. none of the cats in the past many years have meowed their asses off either, because boredom noises don't get a response. if a cat starts meowing, i know something's up.

i'll have you know i trained mosquitoes to stay out of my room and out of my food. they're extremely fast learners. almost eager to please.

the cats however? as inscrutable as the sphinx.

The cat has to want to learn.

the sphinx analogy points us to the core of the problem. uzique hasn't yet answered the cat's riddle. give the toxo some time to settle in and you'll have your rosetta stone.
