Iran shot down an American plane. Both sides are looking for the pilots. Americans were led to believe that Iranian air defense didn't exist anymore and they were just firing drones and missiles.

I saw the government release a video of them proudly air striking a pickup truck they say was used to launch drones. We claimed we hit over 10,000 targets. I wonder how many were pickup trucks, tents, etc.

We apparently are running out of guided munitions. Trump asked for 1.5 trillion for war while planning cuts to social services.

trump is mentioning NATO every fucking day in some capacity or other. your MAIN paper of record doesn't know what it stands for. something of utmost geopolitical importance.

never mind draining the swamp, america has sunk into a peat bog. you have the brains of early hominids.

as everyone here is aware, i have Conversations with individuals.

what exactly do americans think we do irt military installations and civilians? entire towns are built up around american bases as necessary support infrastructure where people live and work day to day and their kids grow up. icbms rising out of rural farmland is a nuclear war meme. if a bunch of civilians died in a major strike against a us military target, americans would be screaming about it.

it's weird to me that people think taking out a 'suspected rifle cache' or whatever is worth flattening a hospital full of people. how quickly they shifted from 'america first' isolationism right back to cheerleading the exploding of people on the other side of the planet on the say-so of some fucking clown and all the clowns in his ear.

i don't believe a word of the excuses. if gas goes up 1/2 a cent under a democrat, i'd hear about it within hours. absolute crickets when it comes to trump's unnecessary global energy crisis because he wanted to blow stuff up. zip, nada. maybe a noncommittal comment like, "hey, gas is under $x in y town!"

it's ok for the right to joke about, or dismiss as jokes the consideration of, culling the dems. but i also get to hear about that one liberal actor who made a mean comment about republicans 20 years after the fact. or how hillary called them deplorables. you know what? she was right the first time. someone who can claim to listen to one of these rambling, vitriolic trump speeches and think "he's my guy" is probably a deplorable person for their own bigoted shortcomings or willful, uncaring, shortsighted ignorance about what they've gotten themselves into. but there's no excuse now. maybe they're even outwardly nice, but what a stain. "a nice day out with the fam" lmao.

and also? the ones who are jumping ship already earned their financial reckoning. at least their family hasn't been mulched!!

I receive political training through various organizations. The big one I am connected to basically told us "Politics is now very vibe based. Social media presence and identity is more important than trying to convince voters of your platforms. If the voters identify with you they will conform to your views."

spend the entirety of the cold war forming and propping up a bulwark against communism in east and south-east asia.
trillions of dollars spent.
100,000 americans dead, half a million maimed and injured.

insist on your asian allies continuing fealty in the neo-imperialist project of pax americana.
station your soldiers on their soil.
fly your helicopters and jets over their residential areas.
rape their women and assault their locals with impunity.

force your defensive weapon systems and radar stations upon them, at great diplomatic cost to relations with their neighbours.

.... and then burn a century of effort and ties in the space of a month.
drive your asian client states into the waiting arms of china.
