My MAGA assistant and I are doing a lot better recently. One of her MAGA zoomer kids is fully anti-Semitic now. Both sons, mom, and father seem to understand that killing people in the middle east is expensive and will not improve conditions at the Amazon warehouse.

i think the point is, with this line of argument, that every major world religion and their corpea contain pieces of scripture or verse or later theological commentary etc. that would basically qualify as genocidal in their bloodthirstiness by any modern legalistic standards. if you want to find 'scary'-sounding citations in any of their voluminous writings, you'll surely be able to find it, with varying degrees of context and historicisation necessary.

unfortunately, and more to the point, the complexion of current israeli politics leans heavy on the orthodox literalist side of things. which isn't to say that all jews throughout time and everywhere on earth are committed literally to those same interpretations of those same pieces of text. this is a very tiresome ploy that we just had to listen to from neoconservative islamophobes for most of the last 25 years. and, before that, frequently between protestant-catholic denominations, etc. people can have their religious belief (or ethnic identity, even) without being gung-ho on all the 'walls of jericho' stuff.

except that of course completely ignores the entire history of judaism that was and is critical of zionism. there are lots of jews resident in the UK who don't support those things. that's the problem with treating the entirety of world jewry as one bloc. there's prejudices and hierarchies even within the jews resident in israel and broadly supportive of the war, ffs.
