Kudos if you werent a fan of either team and watched that, it was a snoozefest. Im obligated to as its my team.
Everyone I talk to says the 2014 superbowl vs the broncos was way more hyped and even the 2015 loss to the patriots was heartbreaking, but the buildup to this game and the game itself was cool but nothing special. Maybe we are just 13 years older, or maybe its the non-sports climate. Oh well

i heard someone lost a million dollar bet or something. maybe it was just rhetoric.
having smoke from nearby fireworks drift through my open window told me what i need to know. i don't know why we need fireworks for football. nothing against the game in particular even if i want to see it try going metric just to troll. i'll even attend watch parties if enough friends go.
i'd just rather track it because i want to track it, and not have to fill my head with scores in preparation for having to make bizness small talk about how the feral hogs did against the [lowkey racist team name] in the abusive drunk bowl over the weekend. i'd rather use that mental storage for interesting animals. hatzegopteryx is a pretty cool name!

My high school students were talking about their parlays for the Superbowl. Apparently gambling and crypto trading happens on apps and teens just take part in it. I don't think I am a mandatory reporter when it comes to gambling.
