i don't like how we got here, but maybe a purge in gaming is long overdue. open the windows and air out the place. maybe if CuTtInG eDgE games and gaming hardware ever make a comeback, the sweaties (i say as i'm posting on a (former) stat site) will all be too invested in their ai girlfriends to bother the rest of us.
then again, the Big Game itself really wants to drain everyone into smartphone apps.

i don't disagree. everything converging all at once has hung the magic 8 ball. the retooling of industries for AI doesn't give me much hope for a 2026 or 27 run of gta 6 on high settings, and it's just not that important to me to care about onto 2030+. even thinking about it is a luxury. we have years of trump to go.me wrote:
