“We kept yelling, ‘She is pregnant, she’s pregnant,’” resident Tonika Deutch told Murphy. “They put their knees on her. We kept telling them, ‘She can’t breathe, let her up, let her up.’”
The woman was then dragged by one arm, as the crowd continued to yell and plead with the ICE agents. Bystanders threw snowballs, and ICE agents fired pepper spray into the crowd—hitting Murphy, the reporter, as well as her photographer.
ICE called the Minneapolis Police Department for backup. Once they arrived, the officers determined there was “no violence occurring” against the agents. “We have been training our officers for the last five years very, very intensely on de-escalation, but unfortunately that is … often not what we are seeing from other agencies in the city,” Minneapolis Police Chief Brian O’Hara told WCCO.
According to ICE, they succeeded in arresting the targets of their operation: a young Ecuadorian couple who were abducted from their car, its windows shattered by agents. The woman is currently in custody in Illinois, and it’s not known where her husband is being held. Two U.S. citizens were also arrested for assaulting federal officers, according to CBS.

i wouldn't say they are lowest performers at all. most americans do not read. these people, ostensibly at least, read quite a lot. they're reading total junk, of course, and have the critical faculties of a blunted envelope opener – but still. most of these people 'found' one another by watching 'philosophy videos on youtube'. clearly the algorithm has fed them a diet of highly adulterated slop – but still, again. most of the interviewees/interlocutors were pretty conversant on a range of topics. they came away with very questionable conclusions, they're clearly ideologically way off the deep end; but low performers? i don't think so.
in another time or given another set of circumstances these kids would go to the local community college or state university and settle down into well-adjusted normie lives in their home states of minnesota or wisconsin or whatever. they're not yokels from caves in the ozarks. their problem simply is that they're 'too online'.

ok fair, i was generalizing with arkansas being the #47 on the bottom of education.
lots of my lockstep conservative circle have books and some college. it's a lot of junk in there, fic/nonfic. war shovelware, dated and debunked social sciences, psychologies, rand ('hey! i liked atlas shrugged, actually!'), unironic and honestly confusing admirations of fascist heinlein worlds ('yeah, they're bad guys but sometimes you need bad guys'). cherry picked knowledge fixations and dubious stuff. a person can be smart, but wrongmindedly educated.
people with minds that can actually churn, even if it feels stunted to high school levels, i think are especially vulnerable to a bit of clever propaganda or nasty ideologies formulated to play at sympathies to their plight to sink into the most reactionary corners of their psyches. an attack on it is an attack on them, blah blah blah. they've got to change their own minds at this stage, but at the same time you don't want to let this stuff run unchecked.
it's probably a lot less frustrating to interview, than constantly argue, a person who recalls fondly the 'humble' self-deprecation of jokester reagan, the idiot charm of w, and pardons all the ways trump fails at both just because they somehow like the cut of his jib. you can still 'win' of course, but there's always newgame+ after the reset state. They are basically homesteaders. I am very fine with this. I rather they withdraw to the great plains than have to compete against them on the coast.
