I am 35. I can collect my full pension at 65. That means I have 30 more years in education.

One of my teacher friends is 65. The other day we were talking and I told him I don't know how I can do another 30 more years of this. Not the teaching but just the existing.

He said "you just do it."

My assistant is in a power struggle with a female student. The girl is 14 but acts and carries herself like she is 16. I think the assistant has some woman to woman jealously going on. The kid is also pretty manipulative and I can see her in real time trying to figure out how to spite the lady.

The assistant wanted me to move the kids seat. I asked her where she wanted the kid. She said "Anywhere but near me." Unfortunately there wasn't a lot of room to switch her.

So today the assistant is already in a bad mood because she is angry that the lady running for NJ governor supported LGBT some shit or another in schools. I didn't ask for more details. I don't care to argue with her and I already voted by mail.

So when the it came time to move the kid. I didn't want an argument with her either since moving her wasn't even my idea. So I basically said "there were issues about the school supplies yesterday (the thing the assistant and her clashed over) and I have to move your seat." I see the kid look over at the assistant who I assume was staring back at her. So basically I threw the assistant under the bus because it was her idea anyway and I still need to manage this kid the rest of the year.

The girl student didn't want to go so I gave her a choice, sit at the front or sit at the back. She chose the back literally right next to the assistant who didn't want her there. But it was her own fault for causing this issue in the first place. I can feel the assistant anger vibrating throughout the room this very moment.

One annoying and rude student is manipulating an autistic student. The autistic student tried to ask a girl out. The autistic got turned down. The rude student then started texting the girl and showed the autistic kid. He was clowning on the autistic kid. The autistic kid didn't understand he was being bullied.


I used this an opportunity to become the law.

I told the rude kid to stay after class and took him to the back to explain to him to stop what he was doing was wrong. I told it in front of my assistant and the Indian teacher. The rude kid got defensive and upset that I was confronting him about being a bully while my subordinates watched.

I defended an autistic student and also I guess asserted authority on a bully. Unfortunately it will likely result in the bully taking it out on someone else weaker than him. But at least the autistic kid is safe for now.
