i believe in staying fashionable but it's important not to be 'too' trendy in middle age. leave the 'loud' and 'statement pieces' to the zoomers. it's a prerogative of youth to wear extremely skinny/baggy trousers, to sport an experimental haircut or facial hair, etc. nobody in their mid-30s has any business wearing high-designer baggy jeans. that shit looks desperate and dumb.

there's an implicit 'passing of the torch' with this stuff. there's something faintly embarrassing about middle-aged people chasing trends too hard. yes, they can afford it all much easier than the bright young things. but it's their arena. don't be the old guy at the back of the club.

false god, golden calf, and son on. there are literally people who voted for him because they thought his evil would mean the rapture or something. how do you salvage that? i've read articles by ministers screaming against all this, but their voices die in the wind before reaching the ears of this group.

i imagine every single one of these people clutched their pearls at the schoolchildren-delivered obama hymn.

the woman on the left is like a head taller than everyone else. charlie kirk would have wanted a dna test and genital inspection.

an extremely nice lady in the UK wanted to settle down with me, except she was about a foot and then some taller than me. this woman is like 200 cm+ tall. she's up there in the forest canopy with the birds of paradise and branch-hopping little mammals.

i was never intimidated but being intimate had its logistical problems. about half the usual positions were out of play. i needed scaffolding.

feels like a budget-upscale version of religious funerals and related services i've been to. people literally go to lengths to make themselves look sad, checking mirrors (cell cams now i guess) before shuffling up to the PODIUM.

i've heard sobs that would make even a high school drama teacher throw a chalkboard eraser across the room. such times, i feel especially hyperaware of a room's vibe and the people and bullshit in it. performative grief is like dumping rancid cooking oil on the soul.

rather spend a funeral with relatives who take selfies with the corpse and don't rehearse mopery. it's more real.

but no, i don't think we are ok. just dropping dead can break a family's bank.

anyone who drags a cross around like that should be nailed to it.
