a typhoon arrived right on cue today, auguring the start of autumn, so hopefully an era without copious sweat will be kinder to the replacement glasses.
dress sneakers are a lamentable development and one of the surface features of a sick society. it's like, i dunno, dress crocs. wear a comfy sneaker or a comfy dress shoe. slacks casual? just grab your nb, or some hiking shoes if you're feeling north american (don't forget something with a carhartt logo on it).

i would be inclined to support the graun but they seem intent on basically trolling every political issue facing the UK today.
anytime there's a glimmer of hope of some alternative, there will be some old labour grandee or fabian from a family like the toynbee's to foreclose all possibility in a series of graun columns over many months.
