I know my next computer purchase is going to be a MacBook. My work MacBook won me over.

I now need to get used to using an iPhone.

I lost my Samsung Galaxy Pro headphones somewhere in my girlfriend house. Haven't seen it in a month. Bad.

you can get macbook M1's still or even the latest airs at markdown prices. like $800. by far the best purchase available in tech thesedays. even the first-gen apple silicon laptops are still lightning fast and capable of all the latest AI stuff. remarkably powerful machine and a very effective, solid ecosystem to plug into. people love to hate them but if you're a normie doing normie tasks, the mac is the way to go in 99% of use-cases. windows feels like an antique mess in comparison. and who the fuck wants to mess around with linux in 2025, so that they can watch youtube reels or yeet tweets into musk's void?

My 'new' house is full of spiders. We have a daylight basement and just yesterday I went down to do stuff 3 times and each time found one on the floor or ceiling or whatever.
They're not dangerous but damn if it isn't annoying to carry them outside and yes I do that. Sue me for saving the spiders.

My last townhome didn't have any and before that was a 3rd floor apartment that didn't have any.

My girlfriend's new place, a new build actually, also has spiders everywhere. The basement garage mostly but they migrated to the first floor too.

Maybe it is a a part of suburban living. Where is Spider Boots Newbie when you need him?

find a way to coexist with your arachnid pals. they take care of other bugs that are undoubtedly getting in too.

welcome to living in an actual biome, anyway. bang out your boots and shoes before use, even if it hasn't produced spiders the last hundred times. even if a bite won't kill you, do you really want spider guts on your socks?

So I trail run once a week and the place I go to is known for gays cruising for sex. Never had an issue but some Marine in a red pickup was watching me and rotating parking lots every couple minutes while I was cooling down / waiting for my phone to unlock cause it was on a 10min cooldown.
