it feels like everybody was mostly following no kings, even in conservative areas where people are reluctant to admit wrong in voting for him. way more cheery events, and the communists didn't take over. all those republicans posing with guns to scare off the events had nobody to shoot.

from an iv drip of social media posts, it looks like the dictator parade was dreary and sparsely populated. the machines looked like they were pulled out of storage and dusted off with a backpack blower, and then touched up with home depot spray paint. there was a vehicle with an ugly bent bumper. none of the soldiers looked happy. the people in the crowd looked bored. trump had a frowny face, and the chinook flyby was eerily obscured in the clouds. i think some flyovers were canceled because of the weather but other air traffic it was already canceled to make space? lol

between transporting all that crap and disrupting air traffic and the army's promise to pay for road damages, and the deployment of national guard and marines to an american city, how much money has trump spent so far? i refuse to humor any suggestion that he's any kind of fiscal.

i've been told, "well, you're not a real democrat then!" after i said that if a democrat is a criminal slimeball as well, that they too should go to prison. i don't really know what to think about this supposed redemption in their eyes. The souring of relations between the Democrat party and Israel really started with Obama. Netanyahu looked at Obama's history of living literally among Muslims and rightly predicted he wasn't going to go along with Israel's nonsense. Obama meanwhile looked at Israel, saw a bunch of pale faced bourgeois managing an apartheid state and was probably reminded of our own civilization's adventures in America, Africa, and Indonesia.

I am personally struggling to reconcile the existence of a very loud MAGA group of Jewish Americans who want to feed people like me to alligators and the Jews that helped with the American civil rights movement and even today are good allies and friends.

There's a lot more I can say about that but will instead just mention that there is a lot of fear among Jewish Americans on both sides regarding the direction of the Democrat party. They are afraid of the Democrats openly embracing antisemitism. And I think the scared Jewish Americans, liberal and conservative, are correct about where the American political system and Democrats are going.

All of the MAGA deportations are going to get pinned on loud front and center Jews like Miller and Loomer. Hispanic societies can't process the situation in terms of race/black-white since those are massive societies of mixed people. Instead these 99% Catholic societies are going to blame Jewish Americans instead of white Christians and the uncle Tom's among our own community. Ultimately you will probably end up with a really intense antisemitic movement coming out of Catholic countries again sometime soon. Especially once the deportees make it back to their home countries.
