From the conversations I have had with Israelis, Jewish people especially Israeli ones fundamentally understand that Christians are their replacement.

It is very much a thing where the Israelis take our money with one hand and curse us with the other.

i also think there will be a major reconfiguration of the region in the next 5-10 years, too. doesn't mean i'm thinking about jewish circumcision rituals, though.

I would doubt the average person feels any guilt, not after what Israel has done and the public attitude of the average Israeli.

Its a bit of a consistent theme though, across every part of europe, not just the spanish inquisition.

Why can't they take up another religion and try getting along?

considering that the violence and wars continued even after 'the enlightenment', and was turbo-charged in fact in the era of empire and the nation state, perhaps you should broaden your reading lists a bit.

if you think jews have a monopoly on religious conflict or disagreement, boy do i have some nasty lessons for you from european history.

if you think the jewish nation state has a monopoly on state violence, ethnic cleansing, and constant war-making with neighbours, boy do i have some more awkward facts. the whole thing hasn't worked out so well for european nation-states since the inaptly named 'peace' of westphalia.
