A cat watched me steal his home today.
I didn't have permission from my landlord for the cat shelter my girlfriend built. So I needed to move it before spring comes and my landlord comes by for yard work. A coworker said they would take it. So I went to my backyard to pack it up. As I went out there one of the cat who lives in it saw me and ran into the bushes. I am sure it was watching me while I packed up its home and walked away with it.
Weirdest thing. The backyard is shared with this Italian deli. There was a full tent in the backyard near a bunch of junk in their section. There was even a pair of crocs near the tent. Also they had a workout bicycle.
So apparently someone lives in my backyard and I never knew it. They have also been publicly exercising.
I am not sure if I should be concerned or at least tell the landlord. I mean I had been misusing the backyard too.
And since I didn't notice the backyard guy until now maybe I should just mind my own business. I wonder if the guy was actually in the tent when I was going through the shelter and rendering cats homeless.
I mean think how creeped out he probably is. I wore and face mask, and gloves since I am allergic to cats. Imagine you are just living in your tent and suddenly a masked up Puerto Rican man is 15 feet away from you robbing the cats.
I am sure if I went up to the tent and the backyard guy shot me you would have people on the internet like "why was he dressed like that in the backyard?"
The backyard I at least pay rent to abuse.
