I did my undergrad thesis on civil military relations. The FBI is practically a paramilitary organization itself. I think we are headed towards a July 20th situation where someone in the military decides to take out Musk and the administration. Musk is scraping data to find out how to capture more government spend. He's going to come out and say something to the effect of, "look at all these inefficiencies! I can do it for less." The techno-libertarian types like Thiel are rocking 24/7 hard-ons now that they have government spend data. It was never ever about reducing waste and always about raiding government coffers.
