Not sure what his point was in highlighting that this is the same deal that was on the table in May.
Biden could have forced any deal on Netanyahu that he wanted at any time, he chose not to and chose to supply all the bombs.
Now it just makes him look stupid and brutal.
There are a few positives:
The investigation into Israel's foreknowledge of the attacks can properly begin.
We know the answer - Israel and Netanyahu had ample warning that a big attack was coming and when and decided to let it happen.
Was moving the music festival into the attack zone deliberate? Maybe we'll find out.
Whats the genocide going to look like then? Not a war of self-defence but a gratuitous, premeditated slaughter.

It was telling that Netanyahu immediately named the Palestinians 'Amalek' - "God then commands Saul to destroy the Amalekites, by killing man, woman, infant and suckling"

it has finished the reputation of the democrats (insofar as they had one, anyway). liberals at least consoled themselves through the trump years that they were the 'good' guys, the moral and law-abiding ones, the ones who upheld norms and decorum. of course, nobody is naive enough to think that they're not as corrupt and cynical as any other law-school/MBA/politico types -- but nonetheless, they stood for a certain sort of besuited establishment taste, easily decrying all the "grab her by the pussy" stuff as being beyond the pale. they were the normal party, not the MAGA cult.
well, they kind of lose their moral high ground when sponsoring an actual genocide. i find it really hard to see how the dems will recover from this, reputationally. they've alienated the young base and a large chunk of the 'global south' minorities they were increasingly leaning on for their 'enlightened' vote.

ceasefire: seen some flaccid "thank you biden" posts on social media for ceasefire. the only good thing that could be said about it is better late than never, but it's bittersweet seeing it happen just now.
trump already taking credit, anyway.
i do think netanyahu enjoys resisting US presidents, but like biden and other countries' politicians could have just stopped sending bombs until israel stopped shooting at aid workers, for starters.
