BF2S Forums Armored Fury will be a disaster

n00bs will always cry about vehicle pro's . I personally hate armor whores on Karkand , but they are part of balance . When all n00bs will understand this , this fucking crying about every skilled player will end.

Seems ppl that enjoy Karkand often also enjoy flying bombers (who doesn't?) so it might become popular anyway. Only need to fool someone to be cannonfodder for those bombers and it's all set.

I'm trying to play other maps / karkand but you can have fun there so much.. I deffenitly don't whore the armor but I did. You can get so many points for that, that I think there always gonna be man that stick with karkand.

@ReDmAn_ThE_uNiQuE: It's EA that should ask themselves why Karkand are so popular and change the other maps accordingly - or vehicles.

Songhua Stalemate, or however it's spelled. The name isn't a common sight. I like that map alot too, dunno why so many servers don't run it. I've never understood why some ppl just play kackland or rape island 24/7. What's the fun with playing the same map over and over again? Wake is one the worst maps in BF imo, jetwhores rule and there is nowhere to go except straight into enemy fire and water.

the ranking system screws up the game. without, there would be different mapcycles, some good custom maps and less karkand point farming.

Your average smurf doesn't realize there is more to BF2 than Karkand and Wake.  This game is about tanks, jets, helis, light transports, and infantry.  I love to play inf myself but huge vehicle fights are awsome.  Expect to see all the "OMG EA SUXX RELEASE aF NOw!1111!11!!" nubs back on Karkand in less than a week.  Its a shame that such a good all-round game is slowly turning into a CS-like shooter instead of adding to all aspects of the game.

Be glad they didn't put the A10 in full strenght in. The Avenger GAU-8 would be the ideal gun for nerfing.

Just because there is a classic map and most people like it, doesn't mean that it shouldn't be there or they shouldn't have the right to play it all they want. Personally, Karkand opens up al lthe possibilities of the game apart from helicopters and planes, but everything else is to a tee. I do play other maps, but I haven't done for a while (as I will freely admit) because I have found some good Karkand servers where people play a mix and are willing to listen to other's opinions. I too, have something against the armour 'whores' but they are there as a balance - get some C4 in there! The principles apply to all maps, but people like Karkand because of it's fast-paced action and matches that often go down to the wire. Sadly, I have to say, one problem with maps with planes and/or helicopters, is that one team can be drastically overpowering and all aspects (infantry and vehicles) of one team get destroyed. On Karkand, and say, Mashtuur there is less to go wrong meaning a more balanced game and possibly more (funner? - definitely more common) infantry action. This is why, I feel, Karkand should be chosen to play - not for points (but it is also good for that too - a knock-on effect)!

imo, Karkand is probably the best map minus the vehicle whoring...
lots of city strategy...
for me, karkand is a good sniping map...
for others, it's just a map for getting pts by camping with a tank/apc.
people say mashtur is a good map, but it's just not as big as karkand is and there just aren't as many mashtur servers vs. karkand servers.
considering the fact that a huge percentage of high ranked people are/were once vehicle whores, I'm sure AF would be good for them.
As for me, I'm sticking to infantry strategy/tactics.
