Not to forget that similar physical feature arguments were made against groups of humans such as jews and black africans. Dilbert's taken that a step further with arguments about the "genetically-deviant" minds of indians and asians. As picky as the species is about pigmentations, nose shapes, and elbow geometry among their own most immediate kind, I don't really trust in the objectivity of a human calling out the occasional "animalistic" feature on an "untransformed" werewolf in a profoundly unkind, most unfair, but distressingly common sweeping attack.
Werewolves wouldn't need to ask for handouts if they were allowed better access to education, medicine, society, protected wilderness, and shielded by a string of desegregation and anti-discrimination laws. Living on the fringes as they do comes largely at the insistence of surrounding humans and their sadly unempathetic misunderstandings. Better awareness of "supernatural" needs and their role in the environment as beings of Earth would do much towards normalizing relations and establishing a prosperous symbiosis between humans and who humans demonize as monstrous freakazoids.
Populations are sometimes forced to pull up stakes and relocate due to circumstances beyond their control. Slavery, environmental catastrophe, war, famine, genocide. And it's certainly not the fault of children dragged along, or born after the fact. Additionally, it doesn't take that long for an emigrant population to lose touch with its former homeland. It's not like werewolves can all just pack up and return to some kingdom or tribal confederation that stopped existing 10KYA any more than a black person living on the other side of the planet could just "go back to (the vague direction of) Africa" and seamlessly pick up where their family left off a few hundred years ago. Easy response anyway is asking what country would white Americans go back to if ejected from North America.
Vampires don't exactly operate on utopic standards. Social mobility is molasses unless you take out the old farts directly above you on the hierarchy. Quite literally, eating the rich (and stealing their powers). It's no wonder the oldest ones can be such paranoid, cagey hermits. A shame, really, all that lost knowledge they could be sharing if they felt safer to be out in the open.
I wouldn't be surprised if Zuck was some sort of flesh construct animated by vampiric puppetry.
