Getting Bf2:sf Unlocks

aren't you suppossed to get a few unlocks when you load and play BF2:SF for the first time? if so, how do you do it and how many do you get? do you have to play on a server for a certain amount of time? do you have to get an award or two? do you have to rank up? wtf? is it possible to do this on a friend's PC with their copy of BF2:SF? please any answers will be helpful.

also, if this is a repeat post, please don't just scold me and scream search. i searched for answers and couldn't find a relevant thread. please post answers here or post the links to the answers. thanks.

how do you do it and how many do you get?you get 1 extra unlock for every rank past Lance Corporal
do you have to play on a server for a certain amount of time?more than 5 mins i think to get unlocks.

I think you have to play a full round to get the extra unlocks for your next rank

ok, so it sounds like you actually have to rank up while playing SF to get any unlocks. is this correct? or is it a time-on-server thing?

I dont know either bought SF yesterday... i need to find out to..

I played this morning like a half an hour SF.. Now i need to wait until my stats are updated and then i need to relogin and maybe then a bar Bumps up with my unlocks. My rank now is Gunnery Sergeant so i think i can choose 5 SF weapons .

If my stats are updated and still nothing happens i will open a topic

BTW after a few hours of playing it and i log out from a server... THOUsAND of drums where making a mozart 1000 whahwha Big music concert because i had a choose of 5 new unlocks jummie i love SF :p

ok, i figured it out. all you have to do is be PATIENT. i played a few rounds of SF on my roommates computer, waited 36 hours, and got 5 unlocks (im a gunnery seargent). simple as that. just WAIT. the unlocks'll come. all you have to do is wait for the stats to update and you'll get your unlocks.

Ok, I just got my unlocks as well. Here is my question, though. All of the unlocks don't seem to be available. Most specifically, I have seen many people running around original BF2 maps with the F2000, yet this doesn't seem to be a choice for me. Is there something special you have to do to unlock the F2000?

You get an unlock the first time you play a round on BF2:SF but you have to be patient.
Also SF weapons are classed as "secondary" weaons like this

Eg: For the assault the unlock is the G3. If you have unlocked the G3 THEN you can unlock the F2000
Eg: For the Medic the unlock is the SA80. If you unlocked the SA80 THEN you can unlock the G36C

If you haven't unlocked the first, you don't get the second.

Well You have to unlock the G3 first
And I'm pretty sure you can get the unlocks after having your friend with SF to play on your account for a round

Oh dude, that sucks! I was really hoping to get my SF unlocks in Kits that I DON'T have yet, so that every kit at least one unlock. That's a gay system.

So uhh i just have to play around 3 rounds on SF and i will get unlocks ok fair enough but...

What happens if i play the rounds then leave, go back to my computer (with no SF) and ill be able to unlock, or do i have to unlock on the SF enabled Pc?

I thought it was only a few minutes, long enough for you to get some points, so that they see that you have spent the money for SF.

EDIT: Ok, for some reason it only gave me 2 unlocks. I bought SF last night, played about 4 roundson various maps, and went to bed thinking I would have 5 unlocks waiting for me this morning. I login and I only have 2. What's going on?

You only get the additional SF unlocks for the rank of Lance Corporal and above. You would need to be a Gunny Sgt. (pre-S.F.) and then load SF to receive (5) unlocks. Make sense??

Is this because you get 2 unlocks per rank increase now? I mean I can hold out till my next rank increase if it will give me another unlock... or is it just something special they did? Don't know but I wouldn't mind being able to unlock more with the Euro coming out.
