Why on earth did they just leave it on the tracks like that? I've seen GTA Online roleplayers move their squad cars out of the way. Are they fed lead tablets in police academy?
Because they think the world revolves around them and their stupid flashing lights.

A cop killed 22 children and 18 other people in a knife and shooting attack at daycare. Then he went home and killed his wife and kid. Third time in recent months that we have had double digit mass killings of small children by some dude.
Absolutely awful. These situations always perplex me. What can make someone think it would okay for them to ruin that many lives? The narcissism of it is unbelievable.

What the heck? Serial killer in a day.
this story hasn't even made the news over here, which seems ... odd. what are you referring to?
edit: don't worry, i just realised it was a 'world news' story and not a US one.

[…] The woman was discovered around 8 a.m. last Friday, October 7th, when reports of a woman banging on doors and crying for help reportedly reached the police.
Ciara Tharp told The Excelsior Citizen that her grandmother provided the woman food and a blanket after bringing her inside Tharp’s home. The Kansas City Defender has been working collaboratively with The Excelsior Citizen, a local news outlet in Excelsior Springs, on this story.
The victim, identified by the alias “T.J.” in court records, told both Tharp and the police that her friends did not make it and had been murdered by Haslett. […]

Largest gang in LA!
Remember that scene on Men in Black where Will Smith's character, representing the NYPD, didn't shoot any of the obvious alien cutouts, and instead shot the one of the little math-prodigy girl? Eerily fitting. I still think about that sometimes when reading these.
Best hypothetical character wouldn't have fired once in that test.

George Floyd's murder causes a drop in Minneapolis police recruitment numbers
Crime rose in Minneapolis during the pandemic, as in many American cities.
Homicide offences nearly doubled from 2019 to 2021, aggravated assaults jumped by one-third, and carjackings, which the city only began tracking in the local Autumn of 2020, exploded.
The city's crime problem has been compounded by a mass exodus of officers who cited post-traumatic stress after Mr Floyd was killed, gutting the department of roughly one-third of its personnel.
Some residents say the city can feel lawless at times.
On July 4, police appeared unable to cope when troublemakers shot fireworks at other people, buildings and cars.
That night sparked more than 1,300 emergency calls.
One witness described a firework being shot at one of the few police cars that responded.
"Our city needs more police officers," Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey said.

Imagine chilling on a bench thinking about your dead friend and some cop rolls up with his belligerent attitude and a light in your face, and you have to stay calm to stay out of the hospital and/or grave. My dude even asserted his rights in the face of death.
The department says they're aware of the viral video and are reviewing things. Did the review start before or after this trended.

Seems obsessed with black snakes if you ask me.The Columbus County District Attorney’s office filed a petition on Friday presenting evidence of recorded conversations in court records, demanding for Greene’s removal from office following his recorded remarks. The petition detailed specific Black deputies and sergeants in the office that Greene targeted derogatory statements towards during the recorded conversation.
He referred to several Black deputies and sergeants as “Black bastards” and threatened to fire them as a result.
At least one Black person was fired following the conversation, the office said in the petition.
“Tomorrow’s gonna be a new fucking day. I’m still the motherfucking sheriff...Fuck them Black bastards, they think I’m scared? They’re stupid. I don’t know what else to do with it. So it’s time to clean them out,” Greene was recorded saying, according to the filing.
“I ain’t gonna have it. I’m gonna cut the snake’s fucking head off. Period...and Melvin Campbell is as big a snake as Lewis Hatcher ever dared to be. Every Black that I know, you need to fire him to start with, he’s a snake!” Greene continued on the recording.
Outrage was swift in the community. The NAACP, locally and nationally, blasted Greene, calling his remarks “divisive” and “horrifying.”

If I get the gist of what this is about, then if he was shooting at them he was lucky to have not been shot back. They shouldn't have beaten him after putting him in cuffs though. Their already abysmal integrity takes another dip and now some poor worker has to clean blood off the floor and fix the displays.
For real though you could try searching mainstream news for this particular beating and be looking all day through Arizona police doing bad things.

As per the wiki article, in usual cop fassion spent time intimidating and arresting people involved in demonstrations and their organization. They'll come for you at work, on your morning jog, in full swat gear. lol …

When people ask "but how will police enforce order," maybe use this as an example. There's no escalation by police. Nobody gets hurt. Nobody dies. Everyone parts ways on good terms.
You're being asked to leave because you're recording

Guy was explaining it to her like she was a child. Very high contrast to that one riot cop who was flexing so hard in anticipation of cracking heads that he was bending his club, or beating an actual child into the ground with a school desk.
