Who cares about who throws/attends Halloween parties? Ragging on it on a gaming forum sticks out more than a party itself. "Here's your 5,000th reminder that I'm an adult and as such exclusively do adult things" urgh.
It's just an excuse for social drinking anyway. I think pretty much every karaoke bar in my area hosts one, including the boomer hangouts.

I will be honest...I went through some dry spells in life and didn't nearly date as much as I wanted to when I was in my 20s. Now that I have my life mostly set up and going I have girls throwing it at me. And I would feel like a dumbass for not taking it wherever I could get it because God could hit the switch put me back in a dry spell at any moment. And then I will be here watching porn and people getting blown up all day with my dick in my hand like "boy I wish I was juggling girls."

i had people asking me at the start of october what i’m dressing as for halloween. i was like ‘what? you mean like trick or treating? that thing children do?’. except (obviously) they don't even do, or have fond childhood memories, of that. it's just office drones planning for 30 whole days what fake-blood ensemble they're going to wear to drink lager at an american sports bar.
last year about 30% of all costumes were squid game or the joker. imagine being a grown man getting dressed up as the joker. lame! and, of course, all the women in 101 varieties of the same thing: cinderella but slutty ... a nurse but slutty ... a witch but with tits ... a cat but slutty (calm down dilbert). just american vegas-tier trashiness.
that type of halloween is only a thing in the UK because of creeping americanisation. and here there’s not even any ‘creeping’ about it. it’s just an all-out orgy of lame kitsch nonsense.
i never liked fancy dress even when it was the done thing every other week in freshman year. frat culture type stuff. as newbie said above, the destination was always the same: getting drunk with strangers you probably can’t otherwise tolerate. do i need to be in golfing argyl or in a fucking iron man costume for this shit?

In my teenage years, I put on the airs of that "too old/cool for Halloween" vibe, and didn't do anything out of necessity in college cause $ and not super into drinking, but I seem to have come around more to the idea in adult years. Not a crazy bacchanal but just a silly excuse to meet up with friends and enjoy.

Her aunt died today while I was out with a new girl at the MET. I didn't check my messages until afterwards and I felt bad so I am talking to her again though she picked up on something was weird because I wasn't all lovey dovey with her like I usually am.
And this is why I should die. Not in real life but on Facebook. If I died now it wouldn't be a big deal because of the other death.

This all makes me feel awful. My younger sister said this is my fault for being a whore. I think 🤔 this has been a valuable learning experience. The next time a girl gets into some sexual shenanigans that she will be traditionally shunned for I will be understanding because I also get into shenanigans.
