Interesting, I don't have FB though.

I find Hinge is pretty good for matches but the conversations are a lot slower than on tinder, I'm also not getting notifications when I get a match or message which is pretty annoying.

hinge is the superior dating app thesedays. has been for a while.

hierarchy is clearly hinge > bumble > tinder.

all the shit runs downhill. hinge has the most discerning, highest-calibre people, i find.

bumble is second because obviously it favours women and attracts a slightly more considerate and well-educated userbase as a result.

tinder is basically 2020s match.com or plenty of fish. bottom of the barrel. highest ambition on the whole platform seems to be 'big brother contestant' or '5k instagram followers influencer'. tinder is for the lonely howling hours of the night.

i never have notifications turned on for literally any app. i hate phone notifications. i wanna check an app on my own damn time and terms.

plus having push notifications for dating apps is just asking for it. i don't want to have to keep my phone face-down on every single date i go on. i'm not looking to play life on Extreme difficulty.

I picked up the Chinese girl and her friend from the airport Sunday. Whenever I am with her I put my phone on Do Not Disturb. I asked her to send me the address to drop her off so I can put it in my GPS. I was waiting for it to come through before I remembered I left DND on and had to switch it off to get the address and back on before putting the GPS on the stand.

exactly. i just never bother with notifications in any form.

i was out with a girl last week and went to post a story on instagram. in the moment i had my insta open, a girl DM'd me and the little top-down notification popped up over my camera view. the girl immediately was like 'who was that?' i was like ffsssssss.

just let me check my messages and notices on my OWN time please.
