But here's where I interject: all the articles are calling him a murder suspect. Is he actually a murder convict? Two very different meanings.
He was standing trial for two counts of capital murder. Stabbed a 59 year old lady to death. He was already convicted with a 75 year sentence for a string of crimes including home invasion and carjacking. Not sure if there was a murder in there too but I doubt it.

yeah, that works both ways too. most girls will be doing the same thing, lining up insurance options or keeping one eye on the next match. it's fun but insidious. not conducive to healthy long-term relationships.

I matched with a Mormon lady. She is from Texas and lives in Utah. She is moving to NYC to live her dream of living in the big city. Good for her. We have been talking for a week now. Even added a new profile picture. I am not sure if she knows I can see all of that going on. So while we are talking she is still matching and so on. Can't judge her for that I guess since I do worse. I already plan to ghost her after the first date. The last two first dates I have been on ended with sex and I am not a predator or anything but I guess I do love bomb and move on girls fast. I would be happy to just make out with the perfidious Mormon and then disappear. I am not going to run into her in the big city again. After that I guess get serious with the Chinese girl since she is there.

So summer school started a few weeks ago. The two lady teachers in my group are (1) my old teacher crush for a few years. (T.C.) and the 25 year old (.25). T.C. and I are close. She has never shown any romantic interest and I am okay with that. I think she just enjoys the attention I give her. It is still nice to just sit and talk with her. T.C. is the teacher in charge and I am technically her subordinate.
.25 started this year. She is an energetic lady. Talks fast and passionately about her interest. Irish girl. She has the same energy, eyes, and mannerisms of an Irish girl I dated in college who has bipolar disorder too actually. So slowly finding out the issues of this girl isn't surprising. Anyhow we spend the whole 6 hour school day talking about our interest. We have many in common. She also is a huge Social Justice Warrior. Like to the left of newbie. Says Latinx for example. She shows off her school work to me and we talk about it too. I can tell when she is having a good time showing me her pictures or talking about herself when she gets really red and giggly. We oftentimes leave on little trips together and send each other articles we both saw. Our work quality has degraded since we increasingly ignore the kids to just sit together and look at her pictures and stuff. I gave her a book she really wanted to read and she was very happy. She is a lot of fun.
The girl has a ton of red flags. She has ADHD, depression, and an emotional support dog. She is open about this. Her older sister also was in special education and is crazy. And that stuff is usually genetic. She has a boyfriend who moved in with her in April. He lost his job the first day of summer school. He is a house painter. He somehow got a concussion at work. And .25 had to leave work early to get him because "he is having a really bad day at work. He has bipolar disorder and got a concussion last week..." She mentioned he was unemployed quite a few times. Usually when complaining she can't afford to rent horses. She is a horse girl. Used to compete in horse competitions in college. She wasn't good at it actually. Anyhow, I don't pry for more details about the boyfriend since rule #1 of trying to sleep with a taken woman is "never talk about the other guy at all." The one time I did pry for more details it was just because .25 said something so red flag I needed a follow up. We were talking about heroin in schools and we both agreed with T.C. that it is a myth. .25 mentions she knows it is a myth because her boyfriend's friend he met in rehab was a heroin addict. Her boyfriend was in rehab. I asked "what for?" She says Xanax and alcohol in college. Realized he needed helped after he crashed his car into a bus.

It seems both easy and monumental. Just the stuff I have heard sounds like a disaster but maybe he is a fantastic lover. I mean he got the girl already. Maybe sometime next week I will invite .25 to lunch. She went out to lunch with 'the teacher who looks like Bill Gates' that she used to teach with. So she is okay with going out for friendly dates with guys. And we can use it as an excuse to leave work early.
The first day I connected with .25 we were sitting together in a small room with a bunch of other teachers and students. Everyone in the room was silently doing something while we were hitting it off. We were having such a good time that T.C. later said it was obvious we liked each other. I think T.C. is really jealous of this girl (her subordinate). T.C. is a pretty Polish girl but is 33 and not getting younger. She smokes too and is also a depression case. At our last assignment she spread sexual slander about a pretty blonde universally beloved teacher friend of mine. T.C., .25, and I were together today and T.C. again spread sexual slander about that woman. That's not very pro-woman of her. .25 has complained quite openly about people T.C. is close with. When I told .25 not to say bad things about one of those people when T.C. was around, .25 said "¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I didn't say anything that wasn't true". That's another thing about .25. High energy, combative, outspoken. Meanwhile T.C. has that Winnie the Pooh donkey vibe. She goes about in pity for herself. When I first talked to her about .25, T.C. snidely said "she is like me but prettier." I don't even know how to respond to that. T.C. is also under a heavy workload while .25 has now soaked up my attention. I help T.C. a lot and .25 didn't do much even before we decided to just hang out together. She did less work than the teacher there who is handicap. T.C. warned me the girl seemed mentally ill after learning about the emotional support dog. .25 has it for anxiety. T.C. is also a kitten owner and is super proud of that. .25 one ups her by having two cats and an Instantagram for her dog with 130 followers. After having not talked to me in months, T.C. is now sending me cat pictures and gossiping about .25. I haven't seen the two girls talk directly to each other if not through me. .25 will talk to anyone everyone else. Having seen T.C. get jealous of the blonde she slandered for no good reason I suspect she is also frustrated with this new young girl because of the attention she gets from me. Especially since I wait on .25 while also kind of sub-managing her. I am the team's special education specialist after all. I can order grades changed at will.
I don't want a relationship with T.C. but it feels validating seeing her annoyed by the younger girl and also doing more to get attention from me. You know what that is like.
So that is that situation. I don't believe this is a healthy relationship between leaders and their teams.
Would you like to know about the Chinese girl? We have met the last two Saturdays and had sex. We are meeting again Saturday. It is intense with this girl. I need to dial it back. Took her out for dinner later that night so it was all good. She says she doesn't want kids either but I don't trust her. I mean I don't not trust her because of anything she has said or done but I just don't trust any woman in that realm. I wish there was a male birth control pill because I really don't want kids.
I had lunch with the 25 year old at work. We went to the Dunkin Donuts between the AM and PM session. That was nice. We came back late when we she realized we basically just sat through the whole lunch period. I think I could bag this girl but unfortunately she lives with her boyfriend which would make a "let's go out to the blah" hard. I am going to see if she wants to go out for lunch again tomorrow and make a thing about it. Basically normalize us being out together outside of work. I am pretty sure she likes me. I asked her what she thinks of me after she talked about how people perceive her "I like you. I wouldn't be talking to you everyday if I didn't. I think you are a great listener. You must hear that often from your dates. You seem really caring and I can tell you think deeply about what people tell you and how they feel. You have a kind face too. I feel like it is easy to open up and talk to you about personal things" She was red and giggly at this moment. I think there is definite something there. She also mentioned "I was thinking all weekend about what you said about me being the 1% of teachers...." So that's all something.
I feel kind of lame typing all of this out regarding the girl from work. Trying to read into her comments and actions on a forum like I am 18 again and not 32 and watching girls swallow morning after pills like

I was expecting somebody to eventually bring up the fact that I am supposed to be doing a job while trying to romance a 25 year old. The teacher crush who is technically my supervisor at this moment is just a friend. The fact that she feels threatened by an outgoing younger lady is amusing but not explosive. I have never made a pass or flirted with the supervising teacher.
What is even the point of having a job if you can't sleep with your coworkers? What is even the point of living if you can't sleep with somebody you met? I think it is very Calvinist to want people to make work and toil part of their identity but also disallow them from hooking up with the girls you meet there. Anyhow, I have a union and am deeply tied into it. Like a leadership role. The union president is married to a teacher down the hallway from him. I hear the scandalous gossip about other teachers and supervisors. If they can sleep with their coworkers, why can't I?
meeting people at work was what our parents' and parents' parents' generation did. when work was tightly interwoven with class identity and being. we live more 'modular' and hybrid lives now. your career doesn't necessarily determine your social milieu and your inevitable wife and 2.4 kids. we have choices. one of the better perqs to come out of this is that every workplace isn't an incestuous minefield full of frayed feelings and broken relationships.
you can meet 2-3 people a week with even casual use of a dating app. i think a more pertinent question is: Why are you so horny, or why do you have such poor impulse control, that you can't be a professional at work and stop diddling your co-workers?
