On topic, I glanced at my HSA investment, IRA, and 401k balances for 2022 thus far, and it's really not been grand. Granted, none of it's realized so I expect to recover in the future, but it's interesting to just see the precipitous drop everything seems to have taken.

when its down, see it as a discount to buy more before your retirement.

That's not generally how investment funds work.

One kid was making fun of another kid because their dad works at Taco Bell. The kid sheepishly admitted his dad worked at Taco Bell. I felt bad for the kid but I learned a valuable lesson: I will never say "If you don't do well at school you will end up flipping burgers". Baby formula shortage. Why is Biden doing this?

I didn't even know what baby formula was until I heard of shortage of it. Don't we have breast feeding? Sure there are some women that can't breast feed but still are plenty that can.

Seriously how did you not know about baby formula. Even non parents know about that stuff. It even pops up in the news periodically. The recent shortage for one, Nestlé drama for another.

Can't, difficulties, shouldn't, don't want to (preference/whimsy/whatever) are all valid physiological and/or psychological reasons, to not breastfeed, it's each mom's own personal business, and it's not for anyone else (man, woman, friend, family, stranger) to judge. Don't be a backseat parent, mom-shaming women on Twitter. It's weird.

Seriously though, people don't leave you alone if you're not a parent, and then don't leave you alone when you are. There's no winning.

Hey women can choose to not breast feed, I have no problem with that. Just don't bitch about shortages of something if there are alternatives that you chose not to use.

Ok but in your own words you were all like "well sometimes women can't breastfeed," expand into difficulties with, etc. and you can maybe begin to see why a formula shortage is a problem. You'd probably be grumbling if there was a shortage of your favorite snack.

Interesting choice of words anyway, moms "bitching" about difficulties feeding their infants.
