The price of the Conroe chips varies. The top of the range one may cost 300-400USD, but the lower end ones are much cheaper.

These are the expected prices, taken from the tomshardware.com forums. It comes from a forum, so naturally I can't verify that the information is correct, but the guy seems to have a huge amount of info on Conroe, so it seems likely it'll be somewhere around there.

yeah, sorry about the 404 error.

and about the DX10 cards, DX10 will not be available for Windows XP (Only Vista) so I bet that ATI/nVidia will hold onto their cards until there is software that can support them.
