Not new, very typical. People spouting off about religious stuff, who are then all "don't question my faith" when someone objects or asks for clarification on a point. Churches get to decide what's right for everyone, but we shouldn't say anything bad about churches.

Pretty much the same thought pattern in propping up a politician as someone no proper patriot should tolerate any talkback against.

Don't believe everything you see on TV, I guess.

Eh, I wouldn't. Honestly, you're just an open wallet who might be "asked" to work a second job on top of that. What are you going to do, strike and anger Jesus?

There's probably about a thousand charities I'd donate to before even considering to give them a dime. All that food and wealth and they still have poor, hungry members and lavishly outfitted buildings that could easily be community centers through most of the week, stay unoccupied through most of the week.

Congressman Big Boss could have handled the situation better. He shouldn't have argued with the child. Never argue with the children. They don't have that right.

That's marriage basically. You open your wallet and calendar to another person.

"Don't question my faith!"

Er, is that a threat? Very typical maturity level expressed. He is probably hoping that it will resound with pig man voters.

It's probably not good to go into a marriage purely with a cynical "what do I get out of it" attitude. Totally reasonable when considering which church community you might want to be a part of. A church isn't going to be your partner or share existence anywhere remotely on equal terms.

Consider first if you couldn't just try and be a better person, stay humble, and so on. Prayer through action, not words. If I was a god listening to all that lip service, I'd regard it as dismissively as all those empty "thoughts and prayers" knee-jerk comments on social media.

I would join the church only to keep the lady happy. I couldn't care less about all of that other stuff. I don't believe there is a God. And if there is one I highly doubt he cares what we do day to day or that anyone can communicate or even understand the contours of such a being. In my personal life, I do not trust devoutly religious people. They are usually the biggest liars and hypocrites. They believe they can directly talk to God and are able to do the worst things and be the worst people because they are sure God will forgive. If I married a lady closely tied to a church I would expect her to cuck me with a guy from there. They think God will forgive them so using his house to commit adultery would be in character for those people.

That's my angry screed about religion.

Having your spouse convert (even if symbolically) is a heck of a condition to impose. I know people do it to keep the peace in the household and/or witwh the extended family, but there's something wrong if it needs to be done to keep the piece.

I don't think you'd enjoy Mormon church. It lasts forever, and there's meetings and after-meetings and "could you do this" and "could you do that." Don't you get irked if a kid wastes five seconds of your time in class? Could you sit politely every Sunday listening to sub-Instagram grade sob stories about finding God, of dubious sincerity? I would have to detach and pretend to be a bored psychoanalyst.

First comes love, then comes marriage — then comes the best man to steal the bride away from the groom at the wedding?

Well, such was the case for Desiree White, 32, who ultimately divorced her husband to marry her lifelong friend and the best man at her wedding, Bryant, after he confessed his undying love for her while toasting her nuptials to his then-best friend.

“He said, ‘I remember the first moment I saw Desiree, I loved her. I fell in love with her. I knew she had to be mine. I thought she was the most beautiful person I’ve ever seen in my life,’” White, from Illinois, told Kennedy News and Media of Bryant’s best man’s speech during her 2010 matrimony.

“He said, ‘She’s the best person I’ve ever met. I’ve never met anyone like her. Then I found out she already had a boyfriend and I thought I needed to find out a way to get her, but then I met [White’s ex-husband] and we became friends,’” she recalled.

I am sorry that is not correct. Ken tried Buddhism but was never a libertarian.
You can't be both, buddhism is about ridding yourself of attachment, becoming self realized and then enlightened whereas libertarianism is attaching yourself to a certain political mindset.
t. spend 10+ years ridding myself of attachments, achieved self realization, not enlightened yet..
